This place is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The food was beyond amazing—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Yeah Every bite tasted like it was made with care. The indoor space is also fantastic: clean, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxed dining experience. Highly recommend, and I can’t wait to come back!

In the old Marco-T’s location a Polynesian restaurant has migrated from Fairbanks. The inside hasnt changed much, but some island designs have been added to the walls. Clean and calm environment with super friendly staff. We had to try a few things and between the three of us we didn’t find anything we didn’t enjoy.
The musubi is delicious, a little crunch in the outside delicious rice and spam in the middle. The pulled pork was sweet and savory drizzled with a tasty sauce. The chicken katsu was perfectly done with a nice crunch and juicy chicken underneath. I didn’t try the shrimp katsu but was told it was also really tasty. I was surprised by the chicken teriyaki plate. It was massive with three sauced chicken thighs on a bed of rice, macaroni salad, and salad. I was told it was super good as well.
With great food, a calm atmosphere, and welcoming staff we will surely be back.

My family and I first tried Sukas in Fairbanks and LOVED their food. We were so excited to find out they were opening a spot in Anchorage! Tonight we showed up and ordered 2 Combo A’s(See photo) which included teriyaki chicken, chicken katsu, and pulled pork. We weren’t expecting to get as much food as we did but we were so pleased that it tasted just as good as the Fairbanks location! Super nice staff and we had enough food for later. Highly recommend to try them out!

My wife took me out on a surprise dinner, landing here at a delicious surprise. The fried musubi was crunchy and juicy, while the chicken tonkatsu was also the same. Both tasty and would recommend for a filling meal.

Garlic Shrimp Plate: $25 and it tasted bland AND had plastic in there. Not just from one bite, but the second bite as well. This plate was for my mom and she was generous enough to tell me not to write this review but after the second bite has plastic in it, I just had to write this. I don’t want to hear maybe its the shell – its legit a black piece that looks like it broke off from something (I took a picture of the plastic that my mom spat out and washed it, that’s how we found out it was a plastic object and not the shrimp shell)
Now, let me write my review from a different visit day (Feb 3 & I Dined in) on what me & my sister ordered:
Garlic Shrimp Appetizer: $13 & 6 pieces. Bland, only flavor was the sauce that they drizzled on top. No garlic flavor
Chicken Combo (Chicken Katsu & Chicken Teriyaki) : Flavor was from the homemade sauce & the chicken teriyaki was a bit overcooked
Fried Musubi: (it’s 2 pieces but really it’s 1 Musubi that’s been cut in half) this was good from the sauce that’s been drizzled over it BUT the outside was overcooked
With all of this being said, I really tried my best to not like this place but if both of my visits were bad – I won’t return.
Praying and hoping for the best for this restaurant! Good luck Sukas!
(Presentation of food did look great tho!)
