It’s not a cheap place but honestly this is quite normal in Panama for this quality of food.

The restaurant looks amazing!!! The food was very tasty and I would clearly recommend the Umami Udon, it was one of the best.
Our waiter, Dana, was very helpful and always had a smile on her face.

We visited Sugoi in December 2025 during a family trip from Puerto Rico, and it was truly outstanding. The atmosphere is warm and modern, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made us feel very welcomed.
The food was the highlight — incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The Caribbean twist on the sushi rolls makes them unique and absolutely delicious. We tried several of the house recommendations, and every single one was a hit.
The location is convenient, the restaurant is clean and comfortable, and it’s a great spot for families, couples, or friends. Overall, the experience exceeded our expectations.
We would definitely return on our next visit to Panama. Highly recommended!

Everything was absolutely delicious! Some dishes didn’t even make it to the photos, but we ordered the Alaska Tempura which was out of this world, and a Summer Roll (a Sushi Week winner!)—it leaves you speechless. The flavors were so fresh and well-balanced.
And as part of any great meal: this delicious dessert! A Banana Tempura with two scoops of vanilla ice cream; simple but so tasty. I also can’t forget the customer service—Edna, your kindness made it a whole experience. 100% recommended with my eyes closed!

I’ve been waiting to dine here, the 4.8 stars is true. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The special “Summer Roll” and the “Canalero Roll” are TOP TIER! Edna was an amazing waiter, the entire staff was great, overall a phenomenal experience. I’ll be back for sure.

Update January 26: I came back because the food is good, and as a local guide it’s my job to give places a fair chance. Unfortunately, the service and atmosphere were still the same. Once again, we had to sit outside to eat. We asked the waitress for a few things and she said yes, but after asking twice with no follow-up, my husband had to go inside and ask again.
January 4th: The food was good, but the air freshener inside the restaurant was extremely strong. I couldn’t tolerate the smell and had to move outside to the terrace to finish eating.

Wow, glad I stopped here for dinner. The seared tuna and summer roll were delicious. Beware they lean towards adding something fried to most sushi choices so it can be a challenging menu if you don’t appreciate that style, like me. Service was friendly and attentive. Check the menu and if you see items of interest, go!!!
