Fantastic, family owned bakery. Jackie was wonderful and made the most delicious, picture perfect, walnut carrot cake. I sent her a Pinterest photo and she delivered an even better version of the cake. Dense, moist, not very sweet—just right. Highly highly recommend her as a baker. Five stars.

Sugartown bakery is the BEST for specialty cakes. I recently ordered my third one from them and it didn’t not disappoint, as usual. The first cake they made for me was for a friend’s birthday in Jersey City, so I found them on a whim. When I planned my husband’s 40th birthday in Hoboken, I ordered from them again and had the cake delivered. The third cake was for my mother-in-law’s 70th, which we picked up and celebrated close by in Staten Island. The cakes are always very fresh and so beautiful, and Sam and his wife are great. They call or email to communicate and answer all questions and they’re so very talented. They are one of the few bakeries who work with fondant so perfectly! I will continue ordering cakes from them in the future for all of my special occasions.

I ordered a cake with blue decoration and fresh strawberries inside. I sent my husband to pickup the cake and went I open it here at the house it was a plain white cake. Also, we agreed on a vanilla cake with fresh strawberry on the inside and instead he just put whipped cream. It was a tasteless whipped cream cake. Literally, ruined my boy birthday cake.

Ordered a 2-tier custom cake from Sugartown Bakery and loved it—beautiful design and delicious, perfectly balanced fillings. Also tried the Caramel Napoleon, Pistachio Tres Leches, Dubai Chocolate cake, and custom Cookies, and everything was amazing. The quality and flavors really stand out, and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

I purchased a cake (6 inch for $60) very last minute about two hours prior to their closing, and they happily complied on making a fresh cake for me that to being vegan, which was super thoughtful. We recently had Our daughter’s first birthday cake made from here, it was a vanilla cake with chocolate mousse filling. The cake was beautiful and tasted amazing! We followed Sameer’s directions and had the cake out of the fridge for 3-4 hours prior to serving and the cake was phenomenal. So many of our guests asked where we got the cake made from!
