Absolutely delightful experience!
From the moment you walk in, Sugarlicious Bakery feels warm, festive, and inviting. The cozy décor and holiday touches set the perfect tone, and the dessert displays are almost too pretty to eat (almost!).
The baked goods are outstanding—beautifully decorated cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and dessert slices that look like they came straight out of a magazine. Everything was fresh, thoughtfully packaged, and clearly made with care. The holiday cookie box was especially impressive and made for a perfect gift.
I also loved how clean and well-organized everything was, from the display cases to the presentation of individual treats. You can tell pride and attention to detail go into every part of this bakery.
If you’re looking for high-quality desserts, festive treats, or a special gift that will wow someone, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend! ✨

Awesome bakery in Gastonia. The staff was super friendly and helpful with ordering a cake for my wife’s birthday. Tons of options for flavors and designs. A two tier 6 inch cake was $50+ but it was worth it!
The chocolate cake itself was super moist and had a nice rich chocolate flavor. The chocolate icing was good but I felt could use just a pinch more fudge/chocolate flavor. It was light and only slightly gritty from the sugar (not like super smooth buttercream). I will say I did notice they were a little skimpy on icing as there were spots on the outside where you could see the cake coming through. You can see in the cross section picture the thinness of the applied frosting.
I also really love how they used a sturdy base for the cake that you can easily pick up and not worry about bending.
Overall thought, I will absolutely be back for more cakes and can’t wait to try other flavor combinations they have!

Most phenomenal looking cake!!! What you don’t see in the picture is that it actually sparkled. Just so pretty!!! It was decorated beautifully. Being long distance I searched for the best bakery in the Belmont area and came across Sugarlicious. I’m so happy I found them. I communicated with them probably more than the average person sending pictures and explaining everything I wanted and they nailed it!!! It was my stepdaughter’s baby shower so I wanted her cake to be extra special like her! She loved it!!! Many came up to me asking me where I had gotten the cake. It was so delicious and extremely moist. I chose the white wedding cake with 3 layers of strawberry deliciousness!!! I really stressed over this cake but must say that Sugarlicious Bakery exceeded my expectations!!!! Thank you all for doing such an amazing job❤️

This was my 1st visit to this location. I had been to the other location a few times that’s now closed. I ordered the Vanilla Cake and Vanilla Icing single cake slice. It was a big slice of cake. The total cost was $5.30 which wasn’t bad compared to restaurants and other places. The young guy that waited on me was friendly and he put on plastic gloves to slice and box the cake slice which I appreciated. The store seemed clean not busy at the time I was there. I have to say not sure if it was fresh or not. Cake was dry and icing was ok. So for me on this visit my purchase was just okay. At the other location every time I went there and got cake and cupcakes it was delicious.

Cake was not the shape of a heart.there was no turning back..I paid WELL in advance. Colors weren’t the same. Boxing was so not ok. This location was recommended, I’m disappointed. What I ordered(they couldn’t do strawberries) vs what I got(not the shape at all)

I went in a week ago and asked for a somewhat custom cake. They took the time and listened to what I wanted and definitely delivered on it. The red velvet cake was so moist and fluffy along with the icing. Love the atmosphere here and really good people work here and own the place. Thanks again see you next year.

I’ve never had a bad cake slice, brownie, cookie or cupcake from Sugarlicious. Large layer cake slices enough for 4 people, and cookies big enough for at least two.
I finally got the sugar cookie and I think it’s my favorite item! I love shortbread, so, this cookie is perfect and the icing is thin and not too much. And, the designs…so cute and done by hand.

The wedding cake for our daughter’s wedding was beyond amazing! Not only was it delicious, it was absolutely beautiful! We are still getting comments on how wonderful it was! Kelly and staff were great to work with, saw our vision and executed it to a tee! We could not have been more pleased! I highly recommend!
