I can’t say enough great things about Sugarcane and Shepherd Desserts! From the start, Charlotte and her team were so thoughtful and accommodating. They worked with all of our allergies, even making gluten-free cupcakes and adjusting the cake recipe with butter instead of oil. The final result was absolutely delicious, and it was the highlight of the big birthday celebration. We’re so grateful for their kindness and expertise—highly recommend them for any special occasion!

Went in to order cupcakes for an upcoming bridal shower and decided to take some cookies back to the our family owned business. My husband said the oatmeal raisin cookie that he ate was the very best one he has every had. Now he wants to go back again today…not really sure if that’s a good thing! Bride review: I can’t recommend Charlotte’s business enough for your wedding day. Not only was she the kindest and most comforting person to work with, she is much more affordable than some of the bakers advertised as “wedding”. We were able to get mini pies, cookies, macarons, a three tier cake (and a free little anniversary cake!), and delivery all for about the same price as one wedding cake from other vendors. Not to mention everything was delicious. Charlotte was so kind and understanding to us as clueless first-timers, always validating us and caring about us and the details we wanted. And we were totally surprised by the tasting she allowed us to do…. She went above and beyond and gave us multiple boxes of cakes and desserts to try, even multiple of everything! I ended up choosing chai cake for my wedding, and my favorite desserts were the mini key lime pies and ginger snap cookies!! My husband and I are extremely grateful for Sugarcane and Shepherd Desserts.

She catered to everything we wanted and was not bothered by all of our requests. When we asked for custom desserts to taste-test, she made us more than we could eat without batting an eye! I was looking for a bakery that makes gluten free desserts daily to make our wedding cake because even a little bit of gluten makes me sick and I wanted to make sure we went with someone that truly understood how important it is for me and that can make it taste yummy. I was recommended by people on Facebook to try Sugarcane and Shepherds desserts and I am so thankful we got the recommendation! We are now having our wedding cake made by Rebecca and we are so very excited. We had our cake tasting today and all of the cakes were amazing. They made sure to have all the gluten free cakes on one side for me to make sure I didn’t accidentally eat any of my fiance’s cakes that had gluten. We decided to go with three different tiers so we could have our top three favorite flavors and a tier specifically gluten free for me! They had the cutest little tasting table set up for us and we were able to bring the leftover cake home! The cakes were AMAZING!!!! Even my fiance tried my gluten free cakes and said he couldn’t even tell they were gluten free. Everything was wonderful and the staff are super nice! I have also tried some of their cookies, cupcakes and muffins and everything was fabulous. They also keep all the gluten free goodies in separate cases from the other items which is amazing! I absolutely can’t wait to see how my wedding cake turns out. If you love yummy treats you definitely have to try them!

We have ordered from Sugarcane and Shepherd twice now, once for a birthday cake and a second time for cupcakes. Both times they were absolutely delicious and exactly what I had asked for. You can tell the care put into things. And those whoopee pies are out of this world. Our go to bakery for sure!

My wife recently got me a birthday cake from these good folks and it was incredible! It was a vanilla cake with chocolate icing with a bonus of chocolate ganache. It gave me another reason to get out of bed in the morning. Fantastic!

Charlotte and her team saved my wedding! I was working with a poor wedding venue that promised a cake but the internal bakery refused to create my vision. The second I met charlotte, I knew we had found our wedding bakery. They were reasonably priced, had all the flavors I could ever want, were on time and included the custom design requested. We simply could not have been happier with the service or the experience. 10/10 to Sugarcane and Shephards- thank you for saving our wedding cake and making our dreams come true.

I stopped by after reading a review online. I mean how often are most of us driving and end up at the intersection Butler Bridge and Hendersonville Road? Well I do, ALOT!! What a delight to find an excellent Bakery with TOP, personable service to beat right there on the corner. Owner is culinary trained, WOWZERS!! I highly recommend this place!!
