They have been closed for at least over a month now with no indications of reopening. There’s a sign saying “undergoing renovations” and “hiring” at the store.

Sugar Mama Ice Cream, Fairfax, Virginia stands out for both quality and consistency. Great ice cream, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere. The pretty lady staff is friendly, polite, attentive and helpful. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. The place is definitely worth a visit and a great spot when you’re craving good ice cream and for a quality treat. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates really good ice cream. We visited Sugar Mama Ice Cream with our family and absolutely loved it! One of the coolest things about this shop is that they offer classic Indian dessert–themed flavors you don’t normally find anywhere else — like Gulab Jamun, Butterscotch, Paan, Tutti Frutti, and Kesar Pista (saffron and pistachio). Every flavor tasted authentic and incredibly fresh!
They also have plenty of classic favorites like Cookies & Cream, Strawberry, and more — so there’s something for everyone. It was the perfect spot for a family treat, and the kids had a blast tasting different flavors.

I had a great experience when I visited this ice cream shop. I noticed that it’s now under new ownership, and the new owners were incredibly kind and welcoming. The place felt very pleasant and cozy. I really enjoyed spending quality time with friends while having a delicious mango ice cream — my favorite! I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly they were, even letting me try small samples of different flavors. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back again!

Pleasantly surprised with this place, has a lot of original base flavors of Ice Cream but also plenty of choices for you “Indian” flavor ice cream where there’s “Paan” or “Tutti-Fruti” or “Sitafal”. Great flavors overall. 5/5
