Discovered this bakery after seeing a social media post. I’m so glad I found you all! Your treats went to lots of teachers, nurses and my family enjoyed the rest! I’m so sad that I did not take any pictures. The only picture I have is of this half eaten tub of Cranberry chicken salad! Quite possibly the best that I have ever had! I love it! We have a tub of gumbo in the freezer to try later on! There are also plate lunches and an area to sit inside or outside! I can’t wait to dine in!

I ordered a customized cake, and I honestly couldn’t be happier! The cake was absolutely beautiful– the details were perfect and exactly what I asked for. But what really impressed me was that it tasted just as amazing as it looked. Moist, flavorful, everyone loved it!!❤️❤️

First visit. Ordered lasagna with green beans. Lasagna was lukewarm warm and kind of dry. Had to have it heated up. Good green beans and garlic bread. A generous number of prepackaged to go items but didn’t see any pricing labels. Once you enter it’s not clear where you should go to be seated or where to order. It’s not a big space but the staff is very pleasant and helpful.

This is my go to bakery. I have used them for the last 3-4 years, and they have always been super helpful and polite, even when I have shown up two days before needing cookies and cakes for a special event with very specific designs and needs. And they always taste amazing!

I was in the area for a sports event for my son. Felt like some sweets and googled.
I made my way over to the Sugar Magnolia Takery. It was a tad intimidating walking in. Seemed like everyone there looked directly at me as soon as I hit the door. I wasn’t greeted the best, basically a what do you want and a ‘we don’t do lunch on the weekends’. It was kind of off-putting, but the sweets looked amazing, so I continued to look around. Nobody really had a smile on their face, but I get it. Nobody wants to be at work on a Saturday, I guess.
Now on to the GREAT part. The freaking sweets are the best I have ever had… and I’ve had way more than I should. I taste tested the brookie, the brownie with icing on top (omg the icing!), a lemon chess square, and a petit four. Those 4 were around 17 dollars. All amazing. I really can not say enough. On the way out, I saw a cooler of prepared food. Take and bake trays, but they also had prepared chicken salad, pimento cheese, and a few other savory items. I opted to try the chicken salad. It was around 15 dollars for the portion size shown in the attached photo. It was like unlike any I have ever had before. I tried to take a photo to show the shredded chicken inside it. It was a mix between peppery and sweet. My words will not do it justice. It had grapes in it with a mayo base! Again, fantastic! If you are not adventurous with your palate and like traditional chicken salad, this may not be for you. Lots of people were picking up King cakes. One patron was offered a piece to sample, I was not, so I can not give my review on it. Being from Louisiana, I would have had very high standards for a king cake, though, so it was probably for the best .
So, if you are passing through, this little shop is worth a stop. Just don’t expect the friendliest welcome

I had a taste for a sweet treat and as long as I’ve lived near this place, I’d never known about them. Stopped in about 15 minutes before close on a Saturday, hoping I’d still be able to get some goodies and the staff was extremely friendly and nice. I think I tried two of all the cake ball flavors and will definitely be back again.

Sugar Magnolia has a lot of homemade goods. I usually come for the ready made cake balls and Martha Washington balls when I’m not there for their daily lunch specials. This time I needed a specially made cookie cake with a special design. I called and they accepted the order and picked up the next day. My kiddo got his wish thanks to SMT! This cookie cake is in a category above the plain flat cookie cake. It is at least one inch thick in the middle and could feed 20 people easily! So yummy! Thank you so much!
Service was hectic even in the middle of the afternoon. They may need a bigger suite. I was in and out with a very short wait.

I’ve been hearing rave reviews about this place from Sherry, my SIL who works there so Mama and I went for lunch while I was in town. It was absolutely delicious! Bought some truffles, cookies, puppy chow, and chex mix. Definitely recommend the winner winner chicken dinner, the cranberry chicken salad, and the banana pudding!

A couple years ago, we bought a Pikachu decorated birthday cake as well as cookies for my daughter’s classmates. We’ve had iced cookies and cakes from other places since then, but she said she liked these the best and insisted we return for her birthday this year. It’s a little out of the way for us; and since she didn’t remember the bakery’s name but remembered the taste and decorating, I figured since it made such an impression, we would return here. She picked a neon theme. The lady who took our orders was so organized, considering we ordered cupcakes and small cake for her party, cookies for her class, and another cake for her actual birthday. The decorator also communicated with me to make sure we got what we wanted. I found pictures to give her an idea of what we wanted. The biggest thing for me though is taste and freshness—the cookies this time were a tad dry, but the cakes have always been delicious and fresh! Thank you for making her birthday such a special one! We will come back.

I bought a King Cake and I’m sorry to say that it was very dry, not moist at all, the bottom of the cake was almost to the point of being burnt. I’ve bought King Cakes here before and they have always been good, but not this year.
