Love this place! If its fried fish you want, thats exactly what you will get, yet I understand they have a few other hits as well. Love the steamed potatoes slices. Service is pretty fast and friendly. Fish is always fresh and fried up right. No frills and only a few seats.

1st time at this fish spot. It’s also a fresh fish market.
I was pleasantly pleased with my menu selection. The menu is very diverse.
I chose grilled flounder filets and shrimps. Steamed veggies- okra, broccoli & red potatoes. The veggies were left in the steamer too long. They were a bit mushy. Nonetheless, I won’t have to travel to 125th Street for fresh fish cooked meals.
A cery clean & neat restaurant/fish market.
The staff was polite &⁷ attentive.
I shall return.
The chocolate cake was meh.

Decent food but under seasoned & too much black pepper added. I asked that my fries be fried crispy and received them soggy.

I’ve been ordering here every Friday this lent. Generous portions and amazing food. Fried flounder with fries was delicious. The steam salmon was even better – freaking incredible. Trying the steamed tilapia next. Can’t recommend high enough,

Very disappointed. I ordered mashed potatoes instead of french fries and the mashed potatoes had no gravy. Just… dry and hard. The fish and shrimp combo was hot when arrived but no tartar sauce or ketchup… nothing. Just dry! Never again. Very disappointed! Yes, I ordered from here because of the reviews.

Got the flounder and it was cooked perfectly – nice and succulent and silky on the inside with a nice subtle batter seasoned with light pepper. Tasted like the original KFC seasoning from the 80s. Definitely get the sweet potato fries, they were cooked perfectly and nice and fresh. Overall, good value and quality. It’s not mind blowing fish and chips like in London, but it is more of a Southern, soul food style fish and chips that are very well priced for NYC at around $13, so in that context, I will give it 5 stars. Also, I always respect when a place cares about ensuring that the food is fresh and cooked to the best quality possible because many places in NYC don’t care.
