The desserts and the drinks definitely are the reason to come here, the food is good not great, especially for the price points.

Great spot to take kids for a birthday, and the milkshakes/ dry ice drinks etc are all super fun.

Service was pretty poor, the host seemed lost and there were tons of open seats, and the manager and other teammates kind of just stared from the back to see if he’d figure it out. A few people in line behind us left due to this.

Overall we enjoyed the experience due to the flashiness but the nuts and bolts of the operation could use some work.

Went in on a Friday evening on a date & had a great experience. They weren’t busy, but I was not complaining. My food: fresh, my drinks: great, service: timely & quick. It’s expensive but I think it was worth it!

I visited the Sugar Factory at Mall of America and ordered the “melting cheese” burger — the one they bring with a big round block of cheese on top and a metal ring for the “show.” It looks great for Instagram, but the cheese never actually melted. It just stayed as a thick, rubbery cap sitting on the bun, even after the whole presentation.

For the price, I was expecting a lot more: a better-quality burger and real melted cheese, not something that felt more like plastic than food. The fries were fine and the place itself is cute, but the food doesn’t live up to the hype. Overall, it’s very Instagrammable, but if you care about flavor and value, it’s pretty disappointing.

Wow! I honestly thought it would be gimmicky and silly but everything is delicious and the staff are wonderful. My boys both had a birthday and they sang a song and got ice cream! The fancy drinks are so good and totally worth it. We got a non alcoholic version of “the candy store” I think. It was delicious.
Chicken sandwich was great. My son had the Big Cheesy, and it was one of the best burgers he has ever had.
It’s beautiful, fun and absolutely 100% fun! Honestly, not that expensive either!

This place needs an identity clarification. The advertising is very family oriented with bright colors lights and candy themes, but inside they’re blasting Bad Bunny with six TVs advertising celebrities posing for photos at admittedly cooler Sugar Factory locations (parties).

There was almost no staff to be found the entire time we were there (with three other tables). My daughter’s food came out in about 15 minutes (seems like they could be quicker given they’re definitely not cooking from fresh). Mine took closer to 30 because a waffle maker was breaking and no one thought to tell me. I almost left money on the table and walked out.

The food was intensely average. My waffle tasted good but the chicken was so uniform it was clear it was fresh from frozen made in a factory somewhere. For $28 I expect more. They only had three kids meal options (burger sliders, chicken tenders or grilled cheese). Online the MOA location advertises “happy boxes” which had way more variety. Yeah no, not here. Also I had to ask for a kids menu when I clearly walked in with a child. We also tried the Unicorn Hot Chocolate which had some kind of pink and blue drizzle that tasted like liquid penicillin and my daughter didn’t like it. Neither did I.

The vibes in the video are under the impression they are being played in a much cooler space than they are. The seats all show wear, the menus are GHETTO, the food is wayyyy over priced, and the blasting music makes me think there should be more fun happening.

We had heard great things about Sugar Factory from friends that had visited a different location. Regretfully, our visit did not meet their descriptions.

Service was terrible. We were seated quickly but we’re given menus without any interaction with the server. He then walked away and disappeared for so long that we considered leaving.

This was consistent with the rest of the staff’s attitudes. (It was only us and one other table at the time we ordered.)

The food was very expensive but was nothing better than what you may get from Chili’s or Applebee’s. I will say the portions were big.

Even after ordering one of the dry-ice drinks, the presentation was boring.

The restaurant decor was nice but seemed very dated and used. The mirrors were discolored and it just didn’t seem like there was any upkeep.

The drinks were good and interesting.

My suggestion is eat food somewhere else and stop in here for a sweet treat/drink.

(One last thing. My daughter collects rubber duckies so she ordered the rainbow burgers thinking she would get one. They were sold out but didn’t tell us until we asked when her food came. You may want to ask if they have them if ordering for that reason.)

I had a fantastic experience at Sugar Factory in the Mall of America! The atmosphere was fun and energetic and the food came out quickly and tasted great. Our server, Lina, truly made the visit exceptional. She was incredibly attentive, checked on us often without being intrusive, and made sure everything was perfect. Her positive attitude and fast service really stood out. It’s rare to see someone handle a busy restaurant floor with such ease and friendliness! I’ll definitely be coming back and I’ll be asking for her section, thanks Lina!

This was a fun niche thing to do with your kiddos if you’re in the area but the price to food ratio is a little excessive. My son and I split the loaded fries and colorful burgers, both were delicious! My husband had his own burger and fries. We split a skillet cookie which was $23… for a skillet cookie that was TINY. Even my 7 year old asked how we were going to split it. The milk shake was epic and delicious! Our service was ok but again nothing to really write home about. My son had fun and that’s what was important but probably won’t be back after this one time going. The music was so loud I couldn’t even hear what my husband was saying to me! It wasn’t censored either so there were swear words and inappropriate words… thankfully my son didn’t seem to notice that

During my first visit I had a server that gave our table little attention, received our food and drinks after waiting nearly 40 to 60 minutes and had another server step in to take care of the table after our initial server failed to produce quality service. The food and drinks were great the service and wait times had left such an impression on me I did not think was worth coming back to. I wrote a honest and fair review which originally 2/5 stars until I heard from management.

I am updating the review with great marks. Solid 5/5. The management paid close attention to my experience and offered a reservation within the week. During our second visit, our server Alyssa took showed great care, attitude and suggestions to our experience. It was day and night from our last visit, we actually got a water pitcher on our table, drinks on the table in minutes and food within 10 to 15 minutes. We were finished within the hour of arriving vs the two an half hours we waited the first time. This establishment clearly cares for their customers experience and made things right. Looking forward to coming back in the future. I would recommend the steak melt and their house sauce for fries.

The staff is what makes this place special. I was not overly impressed with the food for the price. If I wanted to pay $40+ for a steak I will just go to a steakhouse. The hostess was very nice and got us seated as walk-in table right away. I heard them singing happy birthday about 4 times while I was dining there and each time they sang with lots of enthusiasm. Our waiter Joshua was very accommodating and suggested good food/drink items on the menu. He was a super nice guy and his manager was very nice as well. We had a hair in the food and she took care of it right away and brought us a new fresh pasta. We also experienced excellent service from Aundrea who bussed our table, and brought us anything extra we were needing. Overall the staff made my birthday a wonderful experience, I would return for drinks and vibes from the staff.
