We had reservations for a party of 21 on July 29, 2023. When we arrived we were promptly brought to our table, a large one, in our own room. It was perfect! Amber was our waitress, she was AWESOME! She handled our group without any issues. We couldn’t have asked for anything better on our last night of our family vacation. Thank you Sugar Creek for allowing us to make memories!

Our experience at Sugar Creek was absolutely fantastic! Leanna, our server, was really friendly and attentive. The crab dip and shrimp with grits were highlights for sure – although honestly, everything we ordered was just delicious. And, of course, when it comes to catching the sunset, there’s no other restaurant in the area that even comes close. We can’t wait to grab another meal there on our next Outer Banks visit!

Fantastic service. Waitress was really good. Food came out on time. Table for 4 adults and 3 kids were a little small. The food was fine. Cucumber salad was real good and different from what we get back home. I got the local flounder broiled. It was fine. Well seasoned.

Sugar Creek is one of our favorites. We eat there at least once each time we visit the OBX. The early bird shrimp special is exceptional and their fries are delicious! The fried clams, shrimp and grits, swordfish, cornbread and cheese grits are all delicious! Servers are always friendly and our meals are delivered quickly and they are always hot. As for the view, it is gorgeous!!

Will never come back to this restaurant. We ordered the steamer for 2 and the chicken pasta to go. We were charged at 18% gratuity for a TOGO order with 2 items. The food was bad. For being a “Seafood restaurant,” the steamer for 2 was horrible. The food had to have been steamed with no seasoning. The shrimp and crab were both terribly overcooked. It comes with one cluster of crab legs, and we did not even get a full cluster. We paid $80 for this meal, and it was the most disappointing meal I have had in a long time. If you are wanting good seafood, please do not come here. You will leave with empty pockets and wanting more. They also packed the chicken pasta in the same container as cucumber salad, so the Alfredo had a vinegar taste to it which was terrible.

My family and I just ate there tonight. The restaurant has been a favorite of ours for many years. The view can’t really be beat. Leanna, our server, was wonderful, attentive and very helpful throughout our meal. Thank you Leanna! I did take 1 star off for the management decision of charging a “convenience fee” for using my debit card. This is a terrible decision. Anytime I see this fee, it is money the management is stealing from their wait staff. It is so disappointing to see restaurants choose this tactic.

First time eating here but won’t be the last. We got there early and went right in. The fried Fish Platter came out in only a short time cooked to perfection. Waitress kept an eye on our needs. Will be back. Came back this year and was not disappointed.
