They don’t mess around here at Sugar Cane. Everything was prepared and made with skill and love. From the crispy and tender Aromatic Beef, the smoky Lo Mein, to the General Gao’s Chicken and all the appetizers, especially the Beef Teriyaki and Crab Rangoon, you can tell the chef behind all of these knows exactly what they’re doing. Look no further than the best Chinese takeout in Peabody.

Tried the Vermicelli Bowl with Spring Rolls. It is absolutely divine. Especially the spring rolls. Delicate, crunchy and with maximum flavor.
Every bite is fresh with quality ingredients right down to the Scorpion Cocktail. The smokiness from the “breath of the wok” (Wok Hei) is prominent in every dish, making it so appetizing and mouth-watering. I don’t think you can go wrong with anything on the menu.
I can’t wait to come back and try more. Delicious!

This is a great spot! Not gonna lie, the food is a tad hit or miss in my experience. The sesame chicken is a must-get. light, crispy and EXTREMELY addictive. The pad thai is delicious too, with lots of varied toppings and delicately seasoned. However the fried tofu in my stir fry was kind of spongey and offputting, and the curry was actually kind of bland, which was a surprise.
The real standout though is the service. Our server (I didn’t catch his name but the number 96 was on the check) was EXTREMELY on the ball, checked in just enough and at just the right moments, and was super knowledgeable about what on the menu was gluten free for my wife. If you have celiac YOU SHOULD COME HERE. They’ll take care of you. That sesame chicken from earlier? Gluten free. Also they put lemon in the water, which was a nice touch 🙂

The food here is incredible! It’s also very reasonable priced and the service is top notch! I can’t say enough about the place. Cocktails are great and the owner is always so nice! The satay PHO and the Triple delight specials are my favorite!! 5 Stars, would recommend to anyone whos looking for an affordable, delicious meal out.

Without a doubt, the worst food I’ve ever had. Some of the general gau‘s chicken peices didn’t seem to have any chicken in it at all other than maybe some skin or fat, it was just a big blob of batter. It didn’t even taste good. The lo mein looked, smelled, and tasted burnt. The spareribs smelled like they have gone bad. The rice dishes that we got were mediocre at best.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken. I was totally thrown off by it completely smelling like peanut butter. The crab Rangoon could use some scallion or onion for flavor, as it had none. I also ordered lobster sauce which was absolutely delicious and the white rice was cooked perfectly as well.

The most consistently delicious Vietnamese and Chinese food in the north shore. My wife and I have been coming here for almost a decade and we are always well taken care of and always have very tasty food. We moved 40 minutes away and still make the trip when we’re craving Asian food.
