prized treasure
Nicely decorated, great ambiance, delicious food, great music! Service was a little slower because only 1 person was on duty.

Beautiful establishment! Pros and cons are listed below:
PROS:
Beautiful place
Owner is super nice and welcoming
Waitress was very nice however she needs some training
Great music
The snapper was delicious, fresh and moist
CONS:
False advertisement. You have all of these beautiful seafood dishes all over your social media but we were given the most basic Hatian menu. We asked if there was another menu and we were told there was a lunch menu. This needs improvement bad. We can get this anywhere.
Sometimes I couldn’t tell who worked there. Uniforms need to be more aligned.
The bathroom area needs to look as decent as the main floor or close to it. It needs to flow.
The Dollar Tree napkins were soooo thin we had to use multiples. Give more than one for such cheap napkins. Spend a little more and get decent napkins.
The waitress needs improvement with listening skills, giving wrong info and saying thank you to the customers after paying $.
i.e. We asked if the snapper came with the red or lime sauce. She said red when it really was the lime sauce. I wanted the lime sauce however my cousin does NOT like the red sauce so she got something else when she would have been happy with the lime sauce.
The diri djon djon was bland bland. Looked like djon djon but tasted like white rice.
It took us an hour to pay.
The cocktails tasted like virgin cocktails for kids. Come on!

Never again! My friend and I decided to go have dinner there Friday March 27th. I ordered a griot w/rice and my friend ordered a turkey w/rice.
I kid you not, when my food came out (griot) there was 7 pieces of meat, four of the pieces was just fat ( big chunks). When it was time to pay, they charged my friend 31.00 for her turkey when the menu clearly stated 23.00 for turkey. The lady kept arguing with my friend saying that this is what register is saying. My friend said, well the menu states other wise.
The cashier end up charging her 25.00. The service was ok but my food was horrible (griot)…

I’ve always wanted to try this restaurant, I finally drove there and did not regret it. I ordered griot complet this was the best griot I had, very juicy, flavorful , soft not dry like others, you don’t even need sauce for that griot, the pikliz omg love it, the diri kole is everything, im hoping to try every dish in the menu, love the place, the server was a young girl she was very nice didn’t even let me asked for the menu she knew exactly what I needed. Great customer service.

I love to support small businesses, I flew to FLL for an event and decided to visit @sugarbae , got seated at 11 pm, placed my order for beers and an appetizer around 11:15. The drinks took 1/2 an hour to arrive. Almost 2 hours later the server came back and asked if we ordered any food ,at that point I was over the whole experience. She never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks. Our group wanted more drinks and definitely more food and unfortunately never got to taste anything. I got the attention of another waiter , she blatantly ignored me and finally looked at me and said I am not your server I can’t help you. I have a 1 ⭐️ because the band was on point. The owners seemed preoccupied with making sure their friends were having a good time. Checked on everyone around us except us .

I visited this place Saturday the 18th. I found the place on Facebook. I wanted to try it out. Inside is very nice with the lightings. The music mix was on point. The troubadour started at 11, very good music. The crowd looks more on the mature side, which was good. Now the food, the waitress took our order after 45 min brought only 1. She said she thought we only ordered 1. I gave her my order again which was the goat. 45 m +later she brought back griot. Since it was my birthday my friend said reorder it again, we were not in a rush took an hour or more. She brought the goat, it was disappointing not cooked entirely. Not sure if I’ll try the place again.

Absolutely love the ambiance! The decor is perfect and the food is fabulous! It is authentic Haiitian food, privately owned. You can tell that the owners put a lot of love into their food. We went a little late in the day and it was slow, one of the owners waited on us and made sure everything was perfect! Sugar Bae’s made the first night of our Honeymoon fantastic! It had been a rough day as we had some travel issues getting to Miami and chose it because of the cuisine and distance from our hotel, but it will definitely be where we go when we visit Miami in the future! Don’t miss out on this one, especially if you like Haitian food. If you’ve never tried it (I am Cherokee from OK and hadn’t tried it at all until I started dating my now husband), I highly recommend it! So delicious and they clearly know what they are doing at Sugar Bae’s.
Pictured are their Fried Porc and Turkey in Sauce. They were both cooked perfectly, the meat was tender, the sauce was incredible and the plantains were delicious!

From the moment we entered, the staff was extremely polite and welcoming. The music was enjoyable and the age group of the guests felt appropriate for us, which made for a comfortable atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. It was served cold and overly salty, and no one checked back to ask if we were satisfied or needed anything. Additionally, the price on my check was $2 more than what had been quoted.
Although I chose to pay the bill without raising these concerns, I think the overall dining experience could be greatly improved with more attention to food quality, consistency in pricing, and follow-up service at the table.

Walking into Sugar Bae is a whole vibe on its own. The decor is stunning! The elegance still giving off that natural, laid-back feel. We came out for their Labor Day night and let me tell you, it was worth it. Sitting at the bar, I had the best bouyon and toutrèl with fried plantains! The bouyon disappeared in my belly before i could capture it. They had the flavors that instantly took me back home. The service was on point, the energy from the people was even better, and the whole night just felt good. No doubt, I’ll be back at Sugar Bae real soon.
