First off, the staff at Sugar Apple Organic Cafe are super helpful and lovely to interact with. There was one for making food on the day we went and she held down the fort like a pro. The food came out quickly and everything is made to order right in front of you.
One small note about the cafe, it’s super small on the inside. So if you have a larger party it’s best to grab multiple tables outside or get your orders to-go. Also, the bathroom is very small so if you have a wheelchair, walker, or just a need for space then you won’t find that here.
My partner ordered the Peaceful Tempeh which comes with a side salad. I ordered the FLT which is a riff on a BLT. The produce was very fresh and the sandwiches had a lot of flavor. I wish mine came with a side as I ended up being a little hungry afterwards. Just something to note if you’re getting a sandwich with an appetite – pick an option with a side or just multiple sandwiches. I didn’t get a smoothie or juice but I did see many others get them and they all seemed quite happy.
There is also a cute market attached to the cafe where you can buy vegan products. I’d happily go back and order another menu item. If you’re in the area and have dietary needs or just want something plant forward this place is worth a stop!
Overall, it’s a delightful experience worth returning to!
I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of natural loose leaf teas, soaps, oils and other healthy alternative natural products they had, many of which I had not seen before and other stores I have visited.
We also had some of their fresh juices from their
