Great food – I mean really great! Fun to watch the owner running the place, and the regular crowd all at one. The place is full of regular customers. Jami has been successfully running this through “force of positive personality” for over 30 yrs. .
5 stars!

I have just found a new favorite sandwich shop! It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but Subz N Stuff is a classic deli. Jami, the owner, is larger than life and deeply passionate about great food. The line moved quickly, and Jami chatted with every customer. He knows most regulars by name, along with their favorite sandwiches, and the loyalty cards (that earn you a free sandwich when complete) are prized. When Jami found out that a regular recommended the shop yo me, he came out from behind the counter and I convinced him to pose with his new award from the City of Irving (#1 out of more than 100 restaurants). He also posed with a couple of his homemade sauces.

I got today’s special: a hot chicken Tikka. Delicious! It’s pictured here.

Found this place while craving sub sandwich and was just 3 mins from me! The place just opened 5 mins since I got there and it was already busy! The menu had so many choices where everything looks so good! Talked to the owner and he was very funny and made me felt welcome even when he claim he wouldn’t talk to me since I lived here 6 years and never came there lol anyways I took his recommendation and got the special and my friend had the turkey sub. Both we took to go! As we got home ready to indulge in our yummy sandwiches. omg!! Yes everything was amazing so fresh so tasty. Will be back again soon and will choose more items to tell you about next!

I recently visited Subz N Stuff in Irving, and while there were some positives, the overall experience left me with mixed feelings.

The owner was friendly, no doubt, but it felt like he wasn’t really listening. He kept circling back to his signature sauces and how unique they were (which were good), but it was hard to get any real suggestions or have a two-way conversation about the menu. It almost felt like he was more interested in pitching his talking points than helping a customer figure out what to order.

As for the food:
– The sandwiches were solid, ingredients tasted fresh, and the sauces were definitely different from the usual deli options.

– There’s a surcharge for Halal. $1 for half a sandwich and $2 for a full sandwich. That was a instant turn off.
– But the prices are very steep. A sandwich for $28, and then an additional $2 just for the halal option, pushing the total to $30 for one sandwich—that’s just hard to justify, even for a specialty spot.
– And some items apparently take up to 45 minutes to make, which isn’t what you’d expect at a deli-style place.

What really threw me off was the claim that this was the only zabiha halal deli in the U.S. and Canada. That’s just not true. Places like Yummy’s Deli in Richardson and Q’s Deli in Houston offer similar halal deli experiences. The claim came off as either misinformed or out of touch, which didn’t build much trust.

• Good food, unique sauces
• Prices are way too high, especially with the added halal charge
• Long wait times for some items
• Owner is friendly but hard to talk to
• Some exaggerated claims

If you’re curious and don’t mind the price, it might be worth trying once. But manage your expectations and bring your wallet.

I absolutely love Subz N Stuff! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warmth, friendliness, and an energy that instantly makes you feel at home. The owner, Jami, is such a wonderful person—always smiling, genuinely welcoming, and incredibly attentive to every customer. It’s rare to find a business where the owner’s passion and personality shine through so clearly, and Jami makes every visit feel personal and special.

The food and products at Subz N Stuff are consistently amazing. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, a specialty sub, or just stopping by for something fun, everything is fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell that quality and care are at the heart of what they do.

But what truly sets Subz N Stuff apart is the friendly, positive atmosphere. Jami makes sure every customer feels valued, remembered, and appreciated. It’s more than just a place to eat or shop—it’s a space that feels like a community hub, where people leave smiling and satisfied every single time.

If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a welcoming, friendly vibe, Subz N Stuff is the place to be. Jami and her team go above and beyond to make every visit memorable, and I can’t recommend them enough. Truly five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Small family owned sub shop.
Amazing menu and a lot of options for everyone!
I got the Ham and Turkey sub. It was very good. The best bread I’ve ever had at a sub place (Wheat) it was fluffy and delicious. I used one of their in-house made sauces, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. I tried the Cranberry Chipolte sauce, and it was the exact pairing the ham needed!
The owner was there as well and full of happiness and rightfully deserved pride. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be coming back for sure. The meats are all zabihah from my understanding
Also; if you’re a light eater, get the half sub. I got the full size, and now I have plenty of lunch for tomorrow. (No complaints there!!)
If the bread looks a little squished in the picture it’s my fault not their’s, the photo was taken in the car.

Was craving a good Italian style sandwich, and luckily found this place close.

Wound up settling on the #1 all the way. And my goodness, was it a great choice. Everything from the onion to the tomato and meat was sliced fresh. The ingredients were fresh and good, not what you get from chain places that come in bags. Bread was top notch. I could not speak highly enough of the flavor. The owner, Jami, introduced himself and spoke of his food and staff incredibly. I absolutely love people who are passionate about what they do and who they are, as it almost always comes with some of the best food to be found.

If you are looking for an amazing sandwich, and you love a great sauce selection, this should be your next stop!

Visiting from St. Louis, MO and a co-worker recommended his favorite lunch spot that did not disappoint! I had a #1 toasted with the zesty dijon sauce. So good! For newcomers, the owner is excited to take the time to explain his sauces, combinations, and what truly makes his deli special. He should be proud of the lunch community that he’s built. I will be back again for sure!
