This place is superbly outstanding and definitely top notch
Across from the Omni Mandalay, Mandalay Tower 1 Retail Storefront area, 220 E Las Colinas Blvd Ste. 268, Irving, TX 75039
The owner was friendly, no doubt, but it felt like he wasn’t really listening. He kept circling back to his signature sauces and how unique they were (which were good), but it was hard to get any real suggestions or have a two-way conversation about the menu. It almost felt like he was more interested in pitching his talking points than helping a customer figure out what to order.
As for the food:
– The sandwiches were solid, ingredients tasted fresh, and the sauces were definitely different from the usual deli options.
– There’s a surcharge for Halal. $1 for half a sandwich and $2 for a full sandwich. That was a instant turn off.
– But the prices are very steep. A sandwich for $28, and then an additional $2 just for the halal option, pushing the total to $30 for one sandwich—that’s just hard to justify, even for a specialty spot.
– And some items apparently take up to 45 minutes to make, which isn’t what you’d expect at a deli-style place.
What really threw me off was the claim that this was the only zabiha halal deli in the U.S. and Canada. That’s just not true. Places like Yummy’s Deli in Richardson and Q’s Deli in Houston offer similar halal deli experiences. The claim came off as either misinformed or out of touch, which didn’t build much trust.
• Good food, unique sauces
• Prices are way too high, especially with the added halal charge
• Long wait times for some items
• Owner is friendly but hard to talk to
• Some exaggerated claims
If you’re curious and don’t mind the price, it might be worth trying once. But manage your expectations and bring your wallet.
The food and products at Subz N Stuff are consistently amazing. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite, a specialty sub, or just stopping by for something fun, everything is fresh, delicious, and thoughtfully prepared. You can tell that quality and care are at the heart of what they do.
But what truly sets Subz N Stuff apart is the friendly, positive atmosphere. Jami makes sure every customer feels valued, remembered, and appreciated. It’s more than just a place to eat or shop—it’s a space that feels like a community hub, where people leave smiling and satisfied every single time.
If you’re looking for a place that combines great food, excellent service, and a welcoming, friendly vibe, Subz N Stuff is the place to be. Jami and her team go above and beyond to make every visit memorable, and I can’t recommend them enough. Truly five stars all the way! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Amazing menu and a lot of options for everyone!
I got the Ham and Turkey sub. It was very good. The best bread I’ve ever had at a sub place (Wheat) it was fluffy and delicious. I used one of their in-house made sauces, and I couldn’t be happier with that decision. I tried the Cranberry Chipolte sauce, and it was the exact pairing the ham needed!
The owner was there as well and full of happiness and rightfully deserved pride. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be coming back for sure. The meats are all zabihah from my understanding
Also; if you’re a light eater, get the half sub. I got the full size, and now I have plenty of lunch for tomorrow. (No complaints there!!)
If the bread looks a little squished in the picture it’s my fault not their’s, the photo was taken in the car.
Wound up settling on the #1 all the way. And my goodness, was it a great choice. Everything from the onion to the tomato and meat was sliced fresh. The ingredients were fresh and good, not what you get from chain places that come in bags. Bread was top notch. I could not speak highly enough of the flavor. The owner, Jami, introduced himself and spoke of his food and staff incredibly. I absolutely love people who are passionate about what they do and who they are, as it almost always comes with some of the best food to be found.
If you are looking for an amazing sandwich, and you love a great sauce selection, this should be your next stop!
