They have an advertisement on the front window and a very large one at their menu display, showing their three holiday sandwiches, the festive turkey, the Turhamken, and the Festive chicken.
The lady at the counter apparently was unaware of Subway’s own menu items and began making me a regular turkey. I patiently explained that I wanted the festive turkey and pointed to it on the menu above her head. She began to make me some concoction which included ham; I again told her I only want the Festive Turkey as listed above her on the menu. I quote: “So no chicken?” She then began to remake it using ham once again. It was clear that she thought the 3 separate Holiday sandwiches were actually one sandwich, and as normal communication was proving impossible, I told her to forget it . She gave me a sarcastic “thank you come again”.
She isn’t new. It’s disappointing a local business wouldn’t at least ensure an employee has enough basic training to know what their new menu items are, or at least rudimentary communication skills . Will not be back; very disappointing
When I first mentioned I had coupons, they told me not all sandwiches qualify, which I completely understand. I then ordered a steak sandwich, which was valid with my coupon. What bothered me was the way my food was handled. The employee, an older woman (I believe her name was Lupa), gave me one proper scoop of steak, but then for the second scoop she only gave half, and even took some back out after putting it on the sandwich. So instead of two full scoops, I got barely one and a quarter.
When I asked for my sandwich to be double-toasted, she only did it once. For toppings, I only eat spinach, tomato, and olives, so I asked for extra spinach and olives. She rolled her eyes, added just two more spinach leaves, and only five or six olives. When I asked again for more olives, she rolled her eyes again and looked at the other worker like I was being difficult.
On top of that, the sandwich was wrapped sloppily, with no paper inside the bag to keep it together. Other Subways I visit always take care to wrap it properly so it doesn’t fall apart. When I checked the bag at home, it was a mess.
I even tried calling the manager at the phone number posted on the door, but no one answered.
I’ve been to many Subway locations, and this was by far the worst service I’ve received. I left feeling disrespected and upset. I hope management sees this and takes action, because customers should not be treated this way
When I did the regular ones I take they charged me 30$ stating this is the owners request and we only do specific sandwiches for this offer.
