We take my mom here every year before Christmas for a holiday lunch and it’s stellar every time. Cram into a little booth and get comfortable for the best pizza in Harrisburg! The crust is super thin and crispy like a mix between a tortilla and a cracker. Sauce is tangy, and the provolone adds a beautiful sharpness. Cheese is on the bottom, which is the best way. Get one with meatballs and one with pepperoni. Even plain is good! If you like veg, try black olives and mushroom. Can’t go wrong. Lasagna is no slouch either. Oh, and definitely start with a salad and a fishbowl of beer. You won’t regret it!

Good quality pizza but expensive for amount. The personal pizzas cost as much as the larger one pictured which is from Sauce Boss just up the street and great quality!

The place is iconic. Fantastic pizza and great staff. They opened in 1948 and that is when my dad started going there. I started going in the 1960’s. I’ve turned on friends to the place and now they are as enthusiastic as I am. Susan is a great bartender and everyone there makes one feel like family. Just met Cali as well. She’s a fun person as well and can dish out the banter at the bar almost as well as Susan.

Every time I go there I feel good.

Subway Cafe is either a staple or a hidden gem depending how you look at it. Crispy cracker crust pizza is so unique and so hard to find. I love coming here and would highly recommend to anyone passing by or in the area. Tasty and flavorful sauce, just the right amount of cheese, super yum! The service is always fast too! Can’t wait to return again!

Can’t reccomend this place enough! Their pizza is awesome, and unique. The pizzas are personal size, not your standard pies, but the taste is amazing. The crust is thin and crispy and honestly I haven’t ever tried anything quite like it. Also highly reccomended are their “fish bowl” beers, which complement the pizza nicely. Reasonably priced and nice vintage feel (not retro, vintage), make this a must stop spot if you are in the area

I’ve lived here a year and finally had a chance to try this place. Everything is made there. I had the chicken parmesan pizza which, in my opinion, had no real taste. I couldn’t tell if chicken was really on it. It looked like it did. The crust is their own special thing. The pizza is small, the price big, the taste mediocre. The meal was good, but IMHO, only halfway on the scale to being the best. I will try other items there to be fair.

Italian themed neighborhood place. Not a white sauce dish on the dinner menu. Spaghetti w/meatballs and grilled chicken breast okay, with enough to take some home. Nice place with lots of parking. Right priced. Not a destination for us coming from the suburbs.

Great food, great service, great prices! Had the chicken parm pizza which was fantastic. Even if you’re not a thin crust person you’ll still probably enjoy their pizza. It won’t break the bank and the service was quick and polite. Will definitely be back

Stopped by on a recent trip to Harrisburg. I wanted to see if they really had the best personal pizza ever. My wife and I ordered two personal pizzas, a pepperoni and a Mexican pizza. They were really good pizzas but price was a bit high. Two pizzas, one ice tea, a water, and tip was about $35.
