My parents bought a sandwich there in the past 20 minutes. The sandwich had spoiled meat. When my parents returned to the store, staff did nothing to correct the situation.
Edited to add: they told my parents that my parents ordered the sandwich, and that it was my parents’ issue that the sandwich was spoiled.

Wow, most ladies that work there are very very rude. This is not a good stop on the road, they even have a sign on the bathroom that says out of order when is perfectly fine for customers to use.

Couple weeks ago we ordered 2 footlong sandwiches on line. We asked for
the sauces on the side.. They put the sauces in the sandwich we usually don’t eat all the sandwich so it got soggy. The next time we ordered they gave sauces on the side. Today we ordered on line and asked for sauces on the side and they told us we couldn’t get the sauces on the side so they said they were going to put the sauces on the sandwich. We didn’t want the sauce on the sandwiches because we weren’t going to eat them right away. This is horrible customer service at this cle elum subway. They finally gave us sauces on the side but it had only a tiny squirt it barely covered the bottom of the plastic condiment container. As we we’re leaving they smirked at us they made us feel like they spit in our sandwiches so we didn’t eat them.
We will never go back to the cle elum subway

Me and my wife were routinely stopping there on our way to Columbia, and actually liked this place a lot. Until it changed owners.
Last time we stopped there, we grabbed two 6-inch sandwiches and were billed $25.
The lady there tried to tell us something about prices, combos, …. but since she could barely speak English, we could not decipher what she wanted to say. Only afterwards, we realized that she tried to tell us that if we purchase a “breakfast combo”, we may get a discount on subs.

Showed up with my kids and the staff were patient, kind and accommodating. The food was great Subway quality, and the decor was standard and clean. I’ve been to a few Subways recently (my kids currently like it) and we’ve seen a wide range of food/service/atmosphere qualities and this was a pleasant surprise.

This Subway has the *absolute best staff* and I have to call them out for their hard work. We go to Subway pretty frequently when we’re traveling. Subway is Subway, but the staff in Cle Elum absolutely made the experience.
We passed through on Christmas Eve for lunch, and obviously, that’s a tough day to be working, but the staff were so friendly and helpful and kind that we made a point to stop on our way back.
Totally different set of employees – and *way* busier- but all of them did a great job handling the rush and did it all with grace and courtesy.
Anyway, I was so impressed with the staff that I’m pretty sure we’ll be back again. It’s hard to get real enthused about the atmosphere of a Subway attached to a gas station, but people make the place, so I hope the owner does a good job of making sure the staff know they’re killing it Thanks for making our travel easy.

Food is the same at every subway, but the kids here are not as attentive as should be in such a small town. I’m sure they could find better customer service

The women working here were so rude. They didn’t say hello when we walked in they just stared at us funny. My 6 year old son was taking awhile deciding what sauce he wanted and she was rolling her eyes about it. She was visibly irritated and her tone extremely passive aggressive and rude. My son asked her what kind of sauces they had and she ignored what he said. I was in the middle of asking my son if he wanted chips and she interrupted me to give me the total for the sandwich as if trying to rush us out, so I repeated the question to my son and that caused another eye roll. As a member of a senior leadership team I’d fire this woman immediately. She shouldn’t be in a customer facing role anywhere if she’s going to treat them like an inconvenience because they cause her to do her job instead of sitting in the corner talking.
