Our company recently placed a catering order with the Subway in Belfair, WA, and we were fortunate enough to be assisted by Marlena. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Despite not being assigned to that location, she arrived before the store even opened to make sure our order was ready for our early lunch shift. Not only did she come in early, but she also arranged the entire spread beautifully and with exceptional care.
We couldn’t be more grateful. Subway—Marlena is truly a gem!

The last few visits to this location have been very odd, especially since every other subway I visit does things the “right way”. Typically when I go into a subway, any city/state, they ask what type of sandwhich, what type of bread, what cheese, what veggies, then sauces. The belfair location asks what kind of bread, what kind of cheese, what kind of sandwich, what kind of sauce, then veggies. The issue is, they layer the sandwiches oddly. I asked for my sauce to go on the veggies like the other restaurants do and not on the bread like they asked but the very nice, and wonderful employees working told me that the owner says no, they cannot do that anymore, I replied with “oh that makes sense on why your guys sandwhichs come out weird and the ordering layers are off, your the only location that I visit that does this” they then said its Corporate who made the change, but no other location does this… First off, its a bit odd to be told “No” in a restaurant when you pretty much make your own sandwhich.. secondly the odd layering makes the sandwhiches weird. Let me explain. When you put the cheese on the bread, instead of the traditional way of ordering where the cheese is on the meat, it becomes like glue in your mouth, hence why the meat goes on the bread first. Next, when you put the sauces on the bread, it becomes a soggy mess on the bread that was mangled when it was cut. The sauce should be on the veggies as a buffer between the bread. I think the weird layering is also why the employees have trouble closing the sandwhiches properly. Also, they make the sandwhich on the white paper, then remove it and place it on the subway wrapper, then since they cant close the sandwiches properly it all leaks out and bleeds through the subway wrapper, where as every other location lifts the sandwhich up wrapped in the white paper and then wraps it in the subway wrapper. You end up with a soggy messy sandwich before you even unwrap it. Im not sure why the owner likes soggy bread and gluey cheese/bread but most of us dont. Sounds like the owner is why this location cant keep management or employees. I had assumed the layering order was poor training, with the high turn over rate, the training never got corrected and it kept getting passed down to the new employees but now that I know the owner is controlling these things, it explains alot (for a customer who has been visiting this location almost 4 years) I am still waiting to hear back from corporate about why they would change the ordering/layering process but im sure this is a location issue and not a corporate one. I’ve spent about all the money I will on soggy gummy sandwhiches that fall apart out of the bag, I’ll be driving to the Port Orchard location I guess and supporting Kitsap county and their employees instead of local. Its sad to see this location go down hill, they were great when they were by the key bank building and I wonder if they changed ownership when they moved. They absolutely changed management, I can tell, and I never see the same employees twice. Again, this is a localized issue and not an issue at any other location (including those attached to gas stations) but its being told to the employees that its corporate making these changes. I’ve never worked for subway, but its kind of disappointing that I had to spell all this out for someone to hopefully see, these issues are going to effect business and profits, if it hasn’t already. I saw they have been hiring for an assistant manager for awhile, I’ve often thought about applying just to help get this location back on track.. in a town full of “greasy spoons”, it was nice to have a healthier option.

Been going to this Subway for a few years but last few months they have been so strict on getting extra olives. What gives? I was told 4 olives per 6 inch and 8 per footlong. You have got to be kidding me! Owner needs to realize there are many subways around. Also many other sandwich places to chose from. I will now get my sandwiches in Port Orchard before I leave work. Oh and what is with the sauce must be on the bread and CANNOT be on the veggies. What? Enough with this place!

Went to belfair subway this afternoon and ordered a foot long cold cut and asked for extra olives… Dawson the sandwich “Artist” refused and said there was an olive shortage even though yesterday I ordered extra olives and got extra freaking olives… Dawson literally put 12 olives on my foot long ..trust me I counted! I totally would pay extra but this was just ridiculous and obviously Dawson hates his job because he had the customer service of a telephone poll. So rude

The ladies behind the counter were very pleasant, and the customer service was very, very good. I would return to this location for sure. UPDATE, Ashley had helped me this morning, and my sandwich is amazing! The selection of sandwich toppings looked clean, fresh, and full, the whole bar looked great. Her customer service was also amazing. I love this location.

Went there after work to pickup my meal that I ordered online. 1 st time it wasn’t ready when I got there , however I could clearly see 1 person there and he said sorry I haven’t gotten to your order yet I’ll get it asap. So I waited for him to finish his current customers which I thought was four or so. Anyways he finished a sandwich , cashed someone out and says to people in line …I’m sorry but I have to make this mans order he’s actually been waiting the longest . I appreciate that and could clearly see he’s by himself doing everything so. Just a shout-out to the young man behind counter doing it all on his own and keeping composure and a good attitude under pressure. sept 3 rd 330 ish .
