Young lady with the attitude lost that subway a customer. NO MILITARY DISCOUNT is horrible!!! All the other subways in Merced and Atwater offer military discounts except this location. That’s not the only reason for this rating. The staff is disrespectful, the place is dirty, and i found a long black hair in my food. I called to complain and they said they don’t care if they loose customers. Hope the city shuts them down for the other stuff i seen crawling around.

AVOID. I came in to pick up an order from someone and initially gave the wrong name, then immediately corrected it. The owner (YES, THE OWNER) told me there was no order for me and walked away while I was showing him the confirmation. An employee looked surprised and quietly handed me the order after the owner left. I’ve never experienced that level of rudeness from an owner won’t be back.

I never post reviews anywhere because I understand that people have bad days. Unfortunately, based on previous reviews, this is a reoccurring issue with the same employee and store manager, Jaz. I picked up my online order and the conversation started with her stating “We didn’t notice the special instructions so we didn’t cook the bacon.” I asked if they could cook it as ordered which I was told no because it costs extra and I didn’t pay for that. I offered to pay and was refused because the she claimed not to know much it cost. I got home and the bacon was raw so I called back to speak with upper management. The same lady named Jazz, was extremely rude and confrontational. She kept cutting me off which she also did in store, and refused to answer my questions. I understand that mistakes happen but there is no reason for her to argue and refuse to let me speak. She was hesitant to give me the owners name and ended up hanging up on me when I asked why she was being so confrontational over uncooked bacon. I went online and someone posted a similar review involving her 1 week ago. I see multiple negative reviews for the same issue with this same lady. This type of behavior and customer interaction would be unacceptable at any other establishment – for this, I will not be returning.

I love their food, but the customer service is awful. The manager lady refuses to warm my flat bread. I’m the customer. Every other Subway gives me the disclaimer that it is not recommended but they still do it as I am the paying customer. She has told me, “I don’t care. I will not do it.” She is making a point. I reported her rudeness to corporate and actually received an apology from the owner (related to her) but when I returned she once again refused. It is a convenient location that I would go to weekly, so it bums me out. But I have now not entered there in over a year. The last time I was there, I ordered and she heard from the back and came running out and said, “we are not doing that.” She was not even working the counter but made it a point to run out and be mean and show me that I was not getting away with it.

Today, the host #PXR2KRKMWVTWRT25 was horrible during the evening shift. I accidentally asked for the wrong subway due to not being my order but for someone else, when I asked if she could add extras, she gave me attitude and said that she couldn’t and if I wanted to do add ons it was going to cost me 3 times more, so it was better to get another subway. I asked again if she could just add what I wanted to the subways she said that I had seen her doing the sandwich and didn’t say anything so she couldn’t add any more items. I insisted to have her add the extras and she kept telling me with an attitude that the subway was wrapped and it was going to cost me 3 times more expensive! I told her I was going to give her a bad review and she said to do it. This is not the first time she gives attitude to customers. I want to go in and get my subway without feeling tense because she’s there with an attitude. Subway is well known and deserves to have better host not her.

We arrived at this location about 30 minutes before closing and were told they would not serve us because they were already closing up and cleaning. Having worked in the service industry myself, we never started shutting down while customers were still within posted hours. If the doors are open, guests should be served. The owner may want to reevaluate staff training and expectations, because this reflects poorly on the business and its customer experience.

I can tell an employee there named Jas has not been told off yet on how she needs to behave better towards the customers. From what I’ve read and seen myself, she’s always hiding in the back and almost never helping the rest of the employees even when there’s a big line, has a horrible attitude towards customers, and seems to only want things to go her way. Come to find out that not only is she the manager, but related to the owner of that store! No wonder she keeps getting away with her bad behavior!! There’s also two I’ve seen with short stature that wear glasses that behave the same way, tho I don’t know if they’re all related…

Worst subway restaurant ever ordered at! Do not order here! I was ordering online and by mistake I ordered at this location . As soon as I figured it went to this location I called the store and confirmed to please cancel the order and refund back the money and they cancelled the order. It’s been a month and I even reached out to the subway for my money back but the owner refuse to refund, and stopped responding online. Subway customer service is awful as well!!

Subway on Shaffer Rd. Atwater. Went there to get a chicken teriyaki sandwich. I had not had one like it before but was ordering for a friend who has been ill and not able to walk in. We decided to get a large one and split it so I could enjoy the sandwich she said was the best. When I got back to her with it and unwrapped it, we were shocked to see it was wrapped in a paper towel. The chicken was not teriyaki marinaded chicken. The ones making the sandwich had ask me what to put on it for sauce. I said whatever it is you use for teriyaki chicken. The girl didn’t seem to know but the guy said teriyaki and pointed to it. The girl put a small line across the bun. The person I was eating it with said this did not taste anything like their teriyaki chicken sandwich or even look like it. The chicken was chunks that were full of water like they had been soaking in it. I could squeeze water out of the chunks. I don’t think these workers are trained on how to make the classic subway sandwiches. You can see in the photos that the chicken is not their teriyaki chicken. No teriyaki flavor. $16.40 total for the sandwich. Would NOT recommend this Subway.

If I could out a 0 star I would rude customer service. When I tried to enter I was asked to wait as they mopped the floor understanding I waited for it to be dry. Once it was I walk in and was yelled at to leave and wait as the floor was wet. I responded that the floor was dry and were just entering. Since I was yelled at “ can you not wait like I asked we just mopped” at this point I left very disappointed will not come back.
