I got food poisoning from this place. I vomitted and had several bowel movements to which I could not control. I had jury duty at Martinez superior court so I walked around trying to find something to eat when I found this subway. It was clean inside, the customer service was ok, the sandwich is good, but this was the only thing I ate yesterday so I can’t give the credit to food poisoning to anyone but this place.

The lady who made my sandwiches was rude and inattentive. I practically had to beg her for a second bag for my drinks and chips. I will most likely never come back here and recommend that no one else does either, unless they want to experience horrible customer service. She also refused to give me more napkins when I asked.

.So we went into this subway for our favorite sandwiches.There was no line. We ordered 2 footlongs. One for my husband and one for my daughters.Once the sandwiches came out of the toaster we proceeded with toppings and then I realized I was putting the wrong toppings on wrong sandwich. The employee was going to close the sandwich up and pack when I told her to wait we needed a few more toppings since my husband likes way more toppings then my daughters.The employee responded so bothered by it & rude.Her demeanor & response just showed how impatient she is. Find out later that I set my purse on the counter & forgot it. So I kept calling the store with no answer. Finally my husband was able to speak to her and she was so short when he was just trying to ask about my lost purse. She hung up on him. I tried calling and she finally picked up after the 6th time only to pretty much tell me to stop calling because she is busy & has so many customers.I proceeded to tell her that I forgot my purse on the counter & she cut me off saying she is busy. Then hung up on my face too.This employee was just rude all around.Definitely not the person I would choose to represent my business ! I’ve never had a bad experience at subway until now! Never going back to this location ever and going to tell my family and friends how poorly their customer service is

I really like the Veggie Delite sandwich (since I like all veggies) and recently figured out that the egg sandwich is like any other hot sandwich at Subway, and can have all the veggies added to it also, with a little extra protein – so that’s what I look forward to on every visit.
The small Martinez Subway didn’t deliver quite what I get from Walnut Creek’s Locust St. location. My cheese wasn’t entirely melted, yet the bread seemed pretty dry around the edges after baking (maybe their toaster was a little off?) I asked for all egg white, but the sheet of egg was ripped and they didn’t have any more, so the worker put half egg white and half regular egg – that was fine with me. *(My cholesterol’s 144 – I can egg all the egg yolk I want.) 🙂 But she still should have asked.
It’s not very fun to try to figure out what someone is asking you when you can’t understand them. I found myself repeatedly asking “what was that” and “can you repeat that” as I ordered my simple egg sandwich with veggies. The worker was very polite, but speaking softly with a heavy accent isn’t a great combination.
The place was clean though – we ended up eating most of our sandwich in the Subway and were pleased about the cleanliness of both tables and floors.
