“I’ve visited many Subway locations over the years, but the one in Hayward truly stands out above the rest. The moment I walked in, I could feel the difference — the store was spotless, organized, and welcoming.

What really impressed me was the owner. She was absolutely the best — friendly, professional, and genuinely caring about every customer who walked through the door. You can clearly see that she takes pride in his business, and it shows in the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. It’s rare to meet an owner so engaged and dedicated, and it made my experience feel personal and memorable.

The girl working in front was also amazing. She greeted me with a smile, prepared my sandwich with care, and made sure everything was exactly how I wanted it. Her positive attitude added so much to the overall experience.

My sandwich was fresh, perfectly made, and full of flavor — one of the best Subway sandwiches I’ve had in a long time.

Overall, this Subway in Hayward is on a whole different level. A great owner, a great team, and consistently great food. I highly recommend this location to anyone looking for quality service and a welcoming environment.

This place continues to disappoint. Idalia has continued to show many of us how much she hates her job. She didn’t want to sell me my subway because it “couldn’t have more than three vegetables”. I told her I want to pay more it doesn’t even matter how much it would be I just wanted my sandwich. I didn’t want any special I wanted my sandwich how I like it. She said she wouldn’t sell it to me unless it had the three vegetables. I unfortunately settled and said fine because I had to hurry for my kids. Disappointing with Idalias customer service every time. Never coming back here.

I am extremely disappointed in Subways hospitality this evening. The man who is working the front had an extremely bad attitude. He was irritated that I was ordering 3 foot longs, he said I can only pick 3 toppings even though I offered to pay for the olives I wanted to add on one of the subs. He was getting more and more frustrated every time a new customer walked into the store and waited in line. Like I get you may be busy but you need to hide that irritation from customers when you are at work. When he did not let me customize my sandwich I told him to please cancel the order then because why would I pay for something I can’t customize. That should have been said before you slice the bread open, he then tossed the breads to the side and called the next customer behind me. Extremely unprofessional.

I’m very disappointed with the way I was treated at this Subway location on Monday, July 21st. I’ve been a loyal customer here for over 3 years, coming in about three times a week. That day, I had a severe stomach ache and asked to use the restroom. Despite being a regular, I was denied access and made to feel like I wasn’t welcome.

I understand company policy might require restroom access to be for customers only, but I am a consistent customer—and I was in real need. The two employees on duty showed no empathy and their attitude felt discriminatory and dismissive.

It was an embarrassing and frustrating experience. I expected better from a place I’ve supported for years. Subway should remind its staff to treat people with basic human decency, especially loyal customers in distress.

The lady who answers the phone in the mornings does not know where the store she works in is located. When a simple question is asked she puts you on hold and hangs up the phone. Customer service no good.

Very disappointed in our experience… It’s safe to say we will not be back at this location.
It starts with this place being a 1000° on the inside of this location and them not wanting to run the AC until customers complain about the temperature inside the establishment.
Then let’s proceed to the ordering part which didn’t make it pass the bread segment due to the fact of me asking the young man do they take coupons and he proceeds to tell me that we can only get certain toppings on my sandwich with the coupon… (Lettuce, tomatoes, pickles)And I said what??? The coupon doesn’t specify that detail. He then proceeds to explain to me that they have a new “cheap” manager and the manager said those were the stipulations of the coupon usage.
We decided to take our business else where because we don’t have this many problems with the Subway by our house.

Walked in an hour before closing today. The guy working there was completing an online order. Did not greet or even acknowledge we were there. He was grabbing food items to add to the sandwich and throwing the food back in the container. We ended up leaving without ordering and will not be going back to that store. What a shame. If you don’t want to be there, don’t. Give the opportunity to someone else who will appreciate being there.

Got here at 8:30 and they close at 9. they told me that they could not take my order because the customer in front of me his order would take a bit of time and that he had to close and lock the doors before 9pm. Employee was straight up and nice but management here needs to be checked as this is way beyond unacceptable I would understand a few minutes before closing but a whole 30min is utter BS. don’t come here late night.
