If you are looking for a break from burgers and chicken sandwiches but still craving something spicy, there are several sandwich shops out there that should be able to kick things up for you. But they have recently offered an amped-up version of that as part of their “Subway Series” called the Hotshot Italiano which brings even more of a kick to the sandwich. The Hotshot Italiano is made up of the following ingredients: Genoa salami, spicy pepperoni, jalapeno peppers, lettuce, tomato, red onions, provolone cheese, and MVP Parmesan Vinaigrette. They recommend Italian bread, but I went with wheat instead (pretending to be sort of healthy). You can add or subtract ingredients as you choose, but I went with the recommended construction apart from the bread. I also got mine toasted. Despite the jalapenos and spicy pepperoni (which is more savory than spicy), this only gets to about Mild on my scale. But it still has a nice kick to it for a deli sandwich and may satisfy your need for spice if you are not looking for too much burn. Some spicy giardiniera would have really kicked this to the next level, but Subway does not offer that. Maybe next time I will bring the sandwich home where I have a jar of the Marconi Hot Giardiniera in the fridge. Otherwise, I will probably just ask for extra jalapenos.

Someone hacked my subway account and ordered over $300 worth of food. Called manager and explained. He looked up the most recent order placed under my account and said “I can’t help you. Not my problem” and then hung up on me!!!! No resolve to the hundreds that have been stolen from me…. Fraudulent charges and he did not care at all. Should NOT be in business!!!!!

Just visited this subway and I had a good experience. Nick made our sandwiches and he was so nice and personable. We come to Madera for the drive ins and usually like to pick up food before we go. This subway is close by the drive in and is very convenient. I will definitely be returning with my family as long as people like Nick keep working there. Thank you and keep up the great work.

VERY CLEAN! It was 95 outside , & felt like 70 inside! 3 girls were working & greeted us with a friendly ” Welcome to Subway”! Food was made in a timely manner & we small talked throughout the sandwich making! I would DEFINITELY recommend this place! I’ll give it not 5, but 10 Stars!!!!

I have to say that I am very disappointed does anyone even check expiration dates? Me and my husband had eaten a tuna sandwich from there last week and we both have gotten very sick from it. We are elderly and get sick very easily and we’ve been coming here for a very long time now so sad to say we will not be enjoying going there anymore. I am just saying something now because I thought it would be too late because we’ve already eaten our sandwiches and we did not know what to do…very disappointing

I made an order through the app at around 6:20pm. Said it would be ready at 6:45pm. Got to the store around 7pm gave them a little extra time. My food was still not ready after waiting an additional 15 mins in the store. Wasn’t even addressed. Then when I ask about my pick up order the employee was very rude and told me “it’s not even ready yet, you’ll have to come back in 15 mins.”
