Additionally, there are two prices for the tuna: $6.39 and $9.99. I’m observing him making the sandwich and the contents are barely spread along one tiny edge. It’s like a quarter of the flatbread. I kept thinking well this looks bad. But I didn’t say anything cuz I just wanted to wait and see how it all came out. As he slid my wrapped sandwich over to the cashier, he beat a hasty retreat into the back room. It’s like he knew what was coming.
The cashier rang up my chips and my sandwich. $9.99. So I asked her if it costs more to make a sandwich into a wrap now, because he only gave me two scoops of tuna versus the requisite four that I normally saw at every other Subway. Technically, they should have rang me up for a half with that amount of toppings And she said there’s no way to ring up a half for the wraps.
I could see that she was uncomfortable, and I realized she’s just a minimum wage worker being told what to do by her bosses, but the whole thing didn’t sit right with me. And, in this economy, I don’t really think it’s cool to charge me $3 more for a sandwich that has the toppings of a small.
So, chalk it up to experience. I don’t care if that Subway location is 24 hours because it’s in a gas station, I won’t be back.
Stupid way to lose a customer.
