I had stopped by this subway on my way to BYUI up the street. I wasn’t in a hurry, but my patience is normally thin when I have somewhere I want to be. But the worker who made my sandwich moved me. He seemed a little anxious and he was a little slower than what I would expect Subway service to be. He could have been new to the job, I don’t know his situation. But I was moved by him as I could tell he wanted to get my order right, and was willing to take the time to do that.
Sadly, having worked in the food industry before, I have an idea that his boss isn’t the happiest with his speed. Or maybe not, like I said I don’t know his situation. But the effort and love he put into a stranger’s sandwich. (A sandwich of all things) made me very happy.
We need more people like him in the workplace.
Every time I walk in, the store is spotless, welcoming, and the staff are clearly trained to a high standard. Storm goes above and beyond to make sure every guest feels valued. You can tell she genuinely cares about both the customer experience and her team. The sandwiches are always made fresh, quick, and exactly how I ask for them — no cutting corners, no rushing.
What stands out most is the consistency. Whether it’s a busy lunch rush or a quiet evening, Storm keeps everything running smoothly with professionalism and kindness. She treats people with respect, has an eye for detail, and you can feel the positive energy she brings into the restaurant.
The prices increase every year, but the food tastes and smells better than typical fast food so I’d recommend it if you’re hungry and got $20.
It’s within walking distance from so many of the student apartments.
Subway is my depression food, tastes so good and is so filling that I use it to turn myself around whenever I’m down. Love it.
Food is food; simplicity is what it’s all about.
This could be a directive of the HR Manager just needing to refresh up and revitalize the employees, but it’s fair to say, something has got to change in this regard. Help out your people who are doing the actual work!
I ordered online, showed up right on time, and was excited for my American Club on hearty multigrain. Except what I got was less “hearty” and more “hardy,” as in- hardy enough to build a small cabin with. The bread was so rock hard I felt like I needed a chisel and safety goggles. I gave it my best bite, but my teeth and my jaw both protested. After a few heroic attempts, I had to throw it away.
To add insult to injury, the inside of the sandwich looked like it had been on a diet and there were barely any meat or veggies to be found. I’ve had decent experiences at this location before, so I know this isn’t the norm, but this one was rough.
Please, for the sake of teeth everywhere, check the bread before sending it out!
