Very clean subway with huge seating area and parking. The sandwich prepared is above average and the staff is courteous. The beverage selection is good and the ingredients of the sandwich were fresh. Meat portion is little less however the sandwich was prepared fresh. Overall nice restaurant with good staff.

Stopped for lunch as we passed through town. Service was slower than necessary, most likely due to the fact only one employee was working. She was kind and helpful. She spent quite a while trying to ring up our order, which, while it was frustrating because we were in a hurry, I appreciate her wanting to get it right.

Sandwiches were fresh and good. Nothing spectacular but as expected.

Terrible sandwich. Ordered a philly with 50 percent more meat, received 50 percent less. Sent in a review to Subway via their app and received a perfunctory and useless response. I feel cheated after paying $14 for a sandwich that was abysmal. I would highly recommend almost anywhere else for a decent sandwich. First photo is what I got. 2nd is the way they advertise it.

We enjoy eating at Subway. The ingredients are fresh and tasty. I do wish they still had the good flatbread.

Purchased a foot long Italian sandwich this morning at this Subway. The lady working there was very nice. She greeted me as soon as i walked in the restaurant. I told her what I wanted and she went out of her way to make sure it was exactly like I wanted. The bottom line is the sandwich was great and service was awsome.

The evening crew at 1219 East main Street Cortez is extremely incompetent. They got the online order wrong so they remade it and after they remade it it was even more wrong than the first time. This Isn’t the first time it happened, same two guys working there.

My typical practice is to reserve negative feedback for truly egregious situations, and regrettably, my cumulative experiences with this specific location over the past three years necessitate this review. What makes these issues particularly frustrating is the persistent pattern of operational shortcomings and disappointing customer service that seems to worsen with each visit.
My initial significant issue occurred during an online order placed after finishing work at the Piñon project. With five children in tow, I chose online ordering specifically for the convenience of a quick pickup, aiming for a seamless transition to family time at home. Upon parking directly across from the entrance, I had a clear vantage point into the establishment. Despite the online app indicating my order should have been ready, I observed employees exhibiting a striking lack of focus and seeming to ‘goof off’ rather than preparing orders. Disturbingly, two walk-in customers placed and received their orders while mine remained unstarted. The online app’s estimated wait time had long expired, and it ultimately took over 55 minutes for my order to be completed. When I finally contacted them, their excuse of being “really busy” was demonstrably false; I had witnessed their inactivity for the entire duration. Compounding this disrespect, no apology was offered for the significant delay or the apparent disregard for my online order. Although my sandwiches were eventually prepared, I was forced to enter the store and supervise their preparation, feeling profoundly frustrated by the entire, unnecessarily protracted process.
This recurring pattern of issues continued to manifest. Most recently, just two weeks ago, I reluctantly found myself at this location again. My friend drove us there, unaware of my prior disappointments (I had intended to visit a different branch, such as the one at Loves or Walmart). Despite my ingrained reservations and the knowledge that this was yet another chance, the visit further solidified my concerns. The experience was characterized by severe limitations: they were significantly understocked on numerous key ingredients, including jalapenos, and what little avocado was available was barely a serving, yet we were still inexplicably charged a premium for it. The staff’s demeanor appeared consistently disengaged and lackadaisical, betraying any sense of urgency or care. The culmination of this frustrating experience was their inability to take my $50 bill, despite my meal exceeding that amount. Upon inquiry about a marker to verify the bill, they stated their ‘bosses took them,’ referencing past scams at this or another branch. Naturally, with my recent leg surgery, I was unable to hobble across the street to get change from another establishment like Taco Bell, forcing my friend to drive elsewhere just to break the $50 bill – an utterly unnecessary inconvenience when all I desired was a simple, enjoyable meal with my friend.
In sum, this location consistently delivers a subpar and often exasperating experience. The noticeable decline in service standards, product availability, and staff professionalism is stark. My repeated, frustrating encounters have led me to conclude that this establishment has unfortunately gone downhill significantly, and I regrettably can no longer recommend it.

I don’t see why people are putting bad reviews. Every time I go in there they are always smiling and making a conversation with the customer. I have seen them great Customers by name and that was really neat. I know when there is a shift change it looks like there a lot of people but not. I feel customer need to think that they are human too and have feelings and maybe if you got something that not as fast or looks like they having a bad maybe just ask and see how they are doing.

Disappointing to see only 3 people working the line during rush hour. They had what looked like 2 or 3 online orders trying to make them as we all waited to get our orders filled. Literally in this restaurant for 30 minutes to only order 2 sandwiches. I feel bad for the front line who were doing everything they could to keep up. Would have been nice to have to have better staffing or a different process to handle online orders and in person orders

Zero stars should be an option. The worst employees of any Subway location. Three guys working, and only one making sandwiches and running the register. We ordered 2- 6″ subs, and he starts to make them, then leaves them on the counter while he helps a customer that came in behind us with several sandwiches. The register started to alarm, possibly an online order, he looks around for the other two workers to help, both don’t look up, one adding chips, the other staring at a clipboard in the back doorway. The sandwich maker stops what he’s doing, and is now attending the register. At this point it’s been probably minutes, our toasted sandwich is stone cold, so my husband asks him if he can reheat it. He does, takes it out of the oven, and then proceeds to work on the customer behind us once again, leaving ours unfinished. We walked out and ate elsewhere.
If you want competence, go elsewhere. I’m certain this is a common experience for customers at this location.
