Terrible experience. I came in to pick up an app order using a BOGO deal and was immediately met with rudeness from the franchise owner himself. He complained that he was losing money from app orders, made inappropriate comments about wages, and even questioned where I was from—completely unprofessional.

To make it worse, he skimped on both my footlongs, using half the ingredients I saw him use for other customers. The sandwiches were dry, flat, and poorly made. Between the owner’s attitude and the poor quality, I won’t be returning.

If you are planning on using the online app or any promotional codes, you will be met with hostility, verbal abuse, and your order will be skimped at this location. I ordered a BMT and my sandwich was missing the extra onions I requested, I received a single strand…which is kind of a comical. I was also missing half the portion of everything. No salami, no mayo, no black pepper. The owner accused my group of being not wanting human contact and how online orders are costing him money. Also stated that if you asked more of anything, you will get nothing.

I am not sure how this place is rated above 3 stars. Avoid this location.

Owner or Manager should take lessons on kindness to employees…..

Arrived in Winter Park about noon for Labor Day weekend 2023. We had a referral to try a restaurant up the street. It didn’t open till 3 pm so we decided to get a Subway for lunch and come back later.
Parking was hard, nothing close, as all the street spots were taken so we just kept walking.

It was a hot afternoon and there was a commercial fan directly in front of the doorway inhibiting access. That should have been the sign to leave.

As we stood in the line and ordered there were 2 young men smiling and trying to help. I gave my order and asked to have it toasted. That’s when the over bearing owner or manager came in and started humiliating both of the workers in front of the customers.

I was so shocked he would berate them in front of the public I didn’t say anything to their defense. I don’t usually post negative reviews but in this case maybe the manager can learn that is not the way to teach new workers.

The worker asked the manager, who was filling in the food containers, for more bacon to complete the order.
This is when the manager proceeded to tell the young man he needed to think in advance to request refills on the sandwich condiments in a condescending manner and included he might not be working there if he couldn’t put the sandwiches together.

The manager then took over the sandwich order so I told him I wanted it toasted… he then said to me with a smart attitude, “I can’t toast it before I get it set up.” Really? I was trying to bring him up to speed on the order, since he took over.

I was heartbroken for the workers and feel horrible I didn’t say anything. I then ordered a soft drink and the manager proceeded to tell me they had “no ice but it comes out of the tank cold.” I didn’t want the drink without ice and he told me 2 more times it would be cold. I said “I just didn’t want a drink.”

The store was too hot so we went outside to eat the sandwich.

The picnic tables and seats are made out of trex decking materials and we’re extremely hot. Find another place to eat!

This was a very unpleasant experience and wish I hadn’t spent the $27 and just left.

I usually don’t read reviews on chain restaurants but this teaches me a lesson…. management has a problem and another review said the protein was light and it was.. not like other subways. Take your coupons or check the app or pick another place to spend your money.

The owner is really rude 🙁 the dog is cool but not very clean in there… such a bummer because I loved subway until now.. also don’t berate customers for using the app.

Exceptionally rude. Ordered 12 sandwiches (2 separate orders of 6) on the app over 60 minutes before pickup (tried to schedule the day before, but the app doesn’t let you schedule until store is actually open day of). Got to the store and worker very rudely told me not to use the app and that he just received the order 2 min before I walked in and has other customers. I simply stated “okay, I’ll wait”, and worker stared me down multiple times, while stopping making sandwiches, and reiterated rudely that I should not use app (which I was trying to actually help the store because I ordered the 12 sandwiches via the app over 60 minutes ahead of time, so I wouldn’t clog a line).

Don’t go to this store. Rude. Dirty.

Rudi’s is a sandwich shop 1 block away. Nicer workers, better ingredients, didn’t give me hassle about ordering ahead of time online. Had the sandwiches on time. Didn’t stare me down while stopping their sandwich making.

My family and I received the worst customer service by the owner of the place. My daughters tried to use their coupon and the owner said, we don’t accept coupons here because I need to support my family”??? What?? We were so confused we just stayed quiet but one customer stood up for us. The customer was really nice and polite, however the owner didn’t like that and told him if you don’t like it go ahead and leave. I feel sad for the owner I don’t really know what he was going through but he shouldn’t treat customers in a rude way.

The order was made accurately.

One thing worth mentioning is that the protein was noticeably light. I got the foot long and it 100% should’ve had more meat on it. It wasn’t worth the $14 and some change that I paid.

The only good thing about this store was the dog that was inside of the restaurant!!
I’m assuming the owner was the one working today (older man) extremely disrespectful! Looked me dead in the eye and said “I’ll do it for you today” when I asked for olives! And then proceed to act like we were interrupting his day! Golf was blasting over the speaker’s couldn’t even hear ourselves talk!
Needless to say we will not be returning to this store!

The best experience I have ever had at a Subway! We walked in as they were closing, but there was no hesitation to make our order. The entire our sandwiches were being made we were kept on our toes with laughter. The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was amazing, they have a mascot “Annie” that is amazing. Once we got back to the condo and opened our food it was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. Love love love! We will definitely be back before we leave and make a point to eat here every time we visit!
