Visit was on 1/13 around 7:50 PM. Staff involved included an older woman who mentioned she works food service at the local middle school (Wester) and an older gentleman.
When I walked in, the teenager was sitting in his seat. Made direct eye contact with me as I entered and didn’t bother to greet me(fine, I get it. Maybe it’s the end of his shift.) The old man is sweeping, doesn’t acknowledge me until I get within arms reach(fine, maybe he’s busy and locked in on sweeping. No big deal). He seems fine when he greets me and I begin to place my order, The teenager, Who seems high begins making my sandwich, Chicken bacon ranch. He leaves some chicken in the cup still and I say, ” hey, you missed a piece.” He kisses his teeth(attitude) and I figure, ok maybe he’s not having the issue with me.
He continues to make my sandwich, mumbling under his breathe. The counter is filthy, by the way, with sauce and onions all over, he drags my sandwich right through it, which I also let slide. When he gets to the sauces he takes the first sauce and runs it along the length of the bread, Like ALL Subways do. He then grabs the mustard, with a little smirk, and zig zags across the sandwich completely covering the sandwich (Mind you, I just landed back in Dallas, It’s my first meal of the day at 7:02 PM, I really don’t want to cause an issue and wait longer for my food, or deal with attitude.) He then grabs the ranch and does the same thing with the ranch. After he’s done he packs my sandwich up and throws it on the counter. Very disrespectful. At this point I want to say something, but Im hungry and just want this crap to be over with so I can go about my day. I get to my car, pull to a different spot and start eating. I force myself to finish the smaller half of the sandwich as im squeezing mustard and ranch out of the sandwich. I open the second half and debate on if I even want to finish this crap. I take one bite, full of mustard and decide. Screw it. I’m not dealing with this. SO I pull back around to the store, and walk in. Kid doesn’t greet me again and at this point Im pissed off. I tell him that he doused my sandwich in mustard and im not eating this crap, give me half of my money back for this inedible junk. He gives me attitude, has a stupid smirk on his face, I tell him to get the older guy, hoping that this man has some sense. After arguing with this kid for 3-4 minutes in front of other customers, He finally goes and grabs the old guy. who is somewhat helpful, but mostly not as he’s defending the kids actions, when he wasn’t even there to see things unfold
I will be calling the 800 number to make my comments as well.
I will also be reaching out to the district manager. My ticket was not voided for being “the wrong location” as cited on the receipt, so in case these two thought they could hide this interaction, I wanted to leave this review. This happened between 6:42 and 7:02. I’m not posting this in hopes of getting people fired, I would like for this to reach the owner and/or district manager store managers, in hopes that they handle the situation appropriately. I let multiple things slide before I decided to raise the issue, and to not be met with any sort of understanding or sense of accountability is annoying. The sarcasm and passive aggression wasn’t appreciated.
