Dude admitted to being lazy and his hairy self is kind of unsettling when he’s working with food. Plus I needed to use the restroom and couldn’t because the seat was covered pee. I walked out and told my girl this loud and clear in front of him and he didn’t even offer to clean it. Dude is definitely lazy.

The young guy behind the counter was patient and nice. My friend and I stayed past closing time unknowingly and he kindly asked us to leave by saying “sorry, I’m supposed to shut the lights off now”. I got a big chuckle out of his remark.

Ah yes, locking the door three minutes before close, as customers approach. Classic F tier service at its finest. As someone who also works in food/retail I can 100% understand getting crotchedy at someone coming in after close and tapping on the windows, but closing the door on someone before the restaurant is closed is a no-no. Sad, the sandwiches here are pretty good, too.

Called Crete subway at 7:30pm letting them know I am bringing a basketball team in the next day between 9:45-10am. They could not serve 18 people with me giving them a heads up. She said they would not have enough time to make the bread. Apparently this place does not need business. We will be eating somewhere else or making our own sandwiches.

We ordered online and picked our sandwiches they were very kind until we returned a couple minutes later. My sisters sandwich had onions on it when she is allergic to and she had already told them that it was her fault, but she couldn’t eat it. So she asked them to remake her sandwich, to which one of the workers said that they would remake it. So we went in to tell her what we wanted on the sandwich and the other worker told us we would have to pay for the sandwich. But my sister did not want to have to buy a third sandwich knowing she couldn’t eat the first one. The workers insisted they she pay for the new sandwich until someone else stepped in ( I assume that it was the manager) and told them to make the sandwich free of charge, and apologized to us.

I’ve worked in retail for awhile…. I understand people coming in 4-5mins before close, but to shut the door in your customers face and make eye contact with them while they turn off the lights. I’m honestly really upset but I still love the sandwiches.
