Kudos to the manager for being good at telling customers no, or making things up to try and keep us from being unhappy, like telling us the sandwich already has double cheese. No, we all know it’s a single portion. I’m sure every thing she did is what management wants her to do. So bosses, she’s doing a good job. But it sucks.
My apologies for not just forgetting about it today. I just think its too much and too consistent. I wanted to say something. Hopefully there’s enough ambient noise that corporate changes some things. But with a megacorp like this, chances are very low.
I’m usually very understanding when it comes to customer service, especially in food service, where things can get busy. But our experience at this Subway location on May 17th was incredibly disappointing.
My family placed four sandwiches for pickup ahead of time, with scheduled times of 1:15 PM, 1:25 PM, and 1:30 PM. My husband arrived around 1:30PM to pick up expecting of course he may have to wait for sandwiches if they were not all ready only to find out only one sandwich had been made. When he asked about the rest, the employee working—Danny—responded with a very dismissive attitude, saying, “Yeah, and I haven’t even started them yet,” without any apology or concern.
What made it worse was that, while my husband waited patiently, Danny continued helping walk-in customers instead of completing the prepaid pickup order. As of 2:29 PM—my husband was still standing there waiting, and two more customers had just been helped ahead of him. At that point, it felt less like poor time management and more like intentional disregard.
Eventually, my husband had to leave without receiving three of the four sandwiches because we had somewhere to be. We ordered in advance specifically to avoid a situation like this, and we were shocked by how little effort was made to correct it or show basic courtesy.
We don’t usually leave negative reviews, but this experience left us truly disappointed. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because no customer should have to feel ignored or disrespected for simply picking up a prepaid order.
