I placed an online order, 2 different promo codes that were advertised on the subway app said they were invalid when I added them to my cart. I ended up paying full price for the subs because we already settled that was what we were having for super. Don’t advertise a promo code if you aren’t willing to give the customer the deal.
On my way to the store I got a phone call from subway. They ran out of white bread and wanted to know if there was another bread I would be ok using. I told them it was my husbands sub and I needed to call him. I asked why I was able to order the sub if they didn’t have the bread available. They said they manually take the bread off the app when they run out but they just had a rush and didn’t have time to remove it. I called my husband and he settled on a different bread. I called subway back and it went to their answering machine.
I pulled up to the window and explained everything. The lady, assuming the owner, said “yeah I heard you were upset that you were able to place an online order but we don’t have the bread you want, that’s why we call you to see if you would like another bread or your money refunded.” Instead of apologizing, offering something like a free drink, cookie or bag of chips for the inconvenience of getting a sandwich that isn’t your favorite, they just say this is how it is but we made all your other subs for you but one person won’t be able to eat if you get a refund. I didn’t put up a stinks because it is someone making your food, clearly they could see I wasn’t impressed. No apology they acted as if I was inconveniencing them.
Got home opened my subs and to say disappointing is an understatement understatement. My husband ordered pickles on his sub and they placed 2 pickles on the sub. It didn’t even have enough lettuce to run the length of the bread and the bread was a burnt, dried out, hard piece of bread that crumbled when you grabbed it to eat.
As I stated before, I love subway subs but after this experience and others similar I will not be ordering subway from Cokato any more. Their customer service, service recovery and food are extremely below the service industry standard. My son told me he knows people that work at Cokato subway and when food expires they place a new label on the food that extends the expiration date! This should be illegal if it isn’t. Don’t cut corners so you can save a dime. You just lost a customer!
Although DQ is more expensive they at least care about their customers and provide excellent service. We will be eating there instead of subway or we will drive to another location. The drive is worth getting food you like.
If you care about your taste buds and don’t want good customer service; Cokato Subway is the place to go!
I simply wanted to go through the drive through, and order one thing: A Number 45 – Chicken Honey Mustard Wrap. Its a simple order, and only remove the tomato’s as I hate tomato’s. All of a sudden, the window person starts asking me, footlong or 6′? Well firstly its a wrap, it only comes in one size. Then they proceed to ask me, what kind of sauce do you want on it? Well, then I got snippy and said its in the name “HONEY MUSTARD WRAP”. Then they asked me if I wanted any veggies?
First off, it states right on the screen, that the wrap comes with lettuce tomato’s and other things. The only veggie that I wanted removed, was tomato’s as I hate them. I don’t know what the heck is going on with this location recently, but they need to retrain their entire staff team, and hire a better manager. NEVER in my life have I had this bad of an experience. I didn’t even end up eating here, because I was to the point of, how hard is it to make a simple order. Number 45, no tomato’s. Oh well, I ended up settling with DQ down the road from them, at-least a little more competence when it comes to placing an order.
