I am curious to know if the people, or person, that owns/manages the Wittenberg Subway even cares how incompetent employees at this location are!??!
I swore a long time ago that we would no longer order from this Subway, and we would rather take the 10 minute drive west to the Hatley Subway location, but I want to spend locally, and I am always hoping someone will be able to make a sandwich correctly, but I swear to God that EVERY TIME we order sandwiches over the telephone with an employee at this location it is ALWAYS screwed up. Today, when I called, I repeated myself 3 times to the male employee on how I wanted my sandwich made. He even told me he was making it while I was on the phone with him. (which I thought was odd, but assumed he was probably very slow at the moment)
Well, as usual, my boyfriend goes to get it, brings it home and it’s wrong. I asked the employee to add DOUBLE BACON and please HEAT THE BACON FIRST, then add it to the sandwich. The employee even asked me, “So you want double bacon?” And again I said, “YES, DOUBLE bacon please.” I also repeated to him that I wanted him to HEAT THE BACON FIRST, and THEN add it to the sandwich. I’ve never worked at a Subway, but even I know that 8 slices of bacon goes on a footlong BLT, so when I order DOUBLE BACON I should have received 16 slices, right?? But nope, there were only 4 slices on one half, and only 3 slices on the other! And…the bacon was NOT heated up! I also repeated that I wanted mayo and extra sweet onion sauce, but only got the tiniest of each. I could barely taste it. As for the cheese….the employee obviously did not take the time to separate the slices because the cheese was doubled, very thick, and I cannot stand a lot of cheese, so I had to separate the slices myself. (my dog enjoyed the extra slices though)
That says a lot about how employees at this location don’t care at all about doing their job correctly or how the customer wants their sandwiches made. If I am not inside this Subway and watching them like a hawk, our sandwiches are never made the way we ordered them. About a month ago I was inside this location with my grandson and the 2 employees looked and acted miserable. No smiles, not “hello, how are you?” or “What can I make for you today?” Neither one said anything and seemed very unhappy to be working there.
Now, as for the prices, like I mentioned, I ordered double bacon and my boyfriend (who ordered in person while picking mine up) ordered double meat on his footlong too. He wasn’t even charged for double meat for either sandwich. Which I’m glad we weren’t charged for mine, but the business lost money due to this employee adding double meat to my boyfriend’s sandwich and not charging him for it. Again, I’ve never worked at a Subway, but common sense would tell me that a footlong with “double the meat” would cost more than a normal footlong. No?? I guess since he did not give me double bacon, it worked out price wise.
Please DO BETTER Wittenberg Subway!

Wonderful place! The employees are so nice and welcoming and even if subway is on the pricier side you’re getting a LOT of stuff on your sub sandwich!

Honestly this place use to not be so bad but anytime I come in here to pick up my food there’s always something missing in my order, no pickles, a sandwich not being toasted. I’d say go in and order but the people who work here seem to hate their job or act like it’s a big deal to make an order for two sandwiches. Either way dining in or taking out is a bad option. I hope this place gets better but unfortunately I don’t see it happening in the foreseeable future.

Order took 50minutes to get from the time of placing it online. The two workers kept taking more orders without finishing mine or another gentlemen who had been waiting for a pizza. I ordered two protein bowls extra lettuce and one was supposed to have avocado, but there was little to no lettuce (only spinach) and no avacado even tho i paid $2 extra for it. They were out of ham too. The guy making the order seemed to not care about actually making the food, he was arguing about what is supposed to be on menu items with guests and he was wrong about it. Not a great experience for spending $30 and getting something worth barely $5.

Very great service! The presentation of the subs was also very nice for dining in.

The bread had stuck in the pans. They were out of black olives so my sandwich didn’t taste right. Was supposed to have double cheese on the sandwich but was only on half. The sub wasn’t cut all the way through. Just 2 employee’s for a lunch time and 1 seemed to be new.

I placed an online order and when I got to Subway I called inside to ask if they could bring it out to me I explained it would be hard for me to carry out on my own as there was nobody else there at the time The lady brought it out to my vehicle I also called ahead before placing my order and asked

Went in there on a Friday night around 6;30 and was told by 1 of the younger workers that they “ are closed.” Even though all the open signs are on and doors were unlocked! Another one of the workers there informed me that they are actually open till 9pm so I proceeded with my order. Through my whole order the younger worker kept saying how “ this is a big order, even though we are already closed.” ( the order was 2 subs so nothing crazy!) I personally think this location is going downhill or they need to hire people that actually have a work ethic!
Also, when I did arrive and entered the restaurant, both workers were just sitting down, so clearly they were still open. LOL.

We were going to order online but it indicated that this location wasn’t open til 10:30 but we drove there anyway and it was open at 8, did mention this to the staff. My husband doesn’t eat meat and this restaurant has decent options for him.

I ate at this subway regularly for several years and every single time the food was great, the restaurant was always clean, and it was clear that Tammy as the general manager throughout the years was the driving force behind the success of this location. The overall current rating is influenced by previous management shortcomings and is much higher in recent years.
