We have given this place many chances over the years and unfortunately today was our last day eating here. It surprises me how a sandwich can be made wrong right in front of the customer but it happened. A sandwich I just picked up for my wife was completely covered in black pepper. We didn’t order black pepper and if we did it definitely wouldn’t have been that much. As a matter of fact, this specific sandwich i read the order from a list for while I was ordering it and pepper is not on that list.
We’ve had experiences with slimy vegetables in the past, stale bread, etc. but looked past it and came back to exchange for a better quality sandwich because we know this place employs the kids in our town and we try to support small business even through mistakes. At this point Somerset Subway has cost us enough money on mistakes than we’re just going to have to be done with them.
On top of our incorrect order, one of the people working there today looked like he was barely awake and was moving slow enough for me to notice something was off. It felt uncomfortable and awkward standing in front of him. I won’t make accusations but it looked concerning and management should check into that.
I regret tipping 20% after this. The only reason I did is because its almost Christmas and I was trying to take into consideration they’re working the day before Christmas Eve.
I’m giving 2 stars for service because there is one woman that works there that has great customer service. I don’t know if she still works there but wanted to highlight that just in case.

Leave it corporate and managers to fail a fast food place on a Friday night knowing you have an amphitheater event!! PROPS TO THE GIRL WORKING AND DOING THE BEST SHE COULD SOLO!!! You managers and lazy kids that let her solo this should be ashamed and she should be given an apology. As a manger myself, I WOULD NEVER let my staff operate my building solo under pressure. Get in the car and go do your job you are already overpaid to do.

Female manager wasn’t very pleasing. Other staff were great. I’ve never had a sub with so little between the bread. Usually I’m stuffed halfway through and force myself to finish the other 6”. This one’s got me wanting another footling just to fill the void.

As of July 15th 2025, I don’t know if the subway in Somerset is under management but they have definitely stepped up there game. Everything I ordered tonight was made perfectly and correctly. Before, I would be lucky to get 1 sandwich right. I was greeted very warmly which was very refreshing. Thank you for great subs and great customer service!!

I have to give credit where credit is due. I don’t know if there’s a new owner or something, but this place has done a complete 180.
I had literally sworn it off, and while usually true to my word, when your wife has pregnancy cravings, you tend to give in.
Twice in a row now this place has been great about their service and food. It’s seriously like a night and day difference.
So thank you staff! It’s awesome to be able to get subway locally again!

Placed the order online and was given a time to pick up my order. When I arrived, there was a good crowd of people who were getting their orders done, and I was wondering if mine was able to finish mine. I was pleasantly surprised that they had been able to get mine done and still able to take care of the other customers with no problem whatsoever. Hats off and praise for a job well done. Good, professional, and friendly team that was working that night.

Almost every time I go to subway here this guy named JJ is working. He litterally has the worst attitude ever and we waited about 20 minutes before he actually took our order. We were just waiting and he was restocking everything while we were standing there. He was huffing and puffing non stop and he needs to go. I don’t even want to go to subway anymore because of this guys attitude and the wait time. He doesn’t even welcome the customers when they walk in. Today was the worst experience I have ever had.
