When I walked into the place, the stench reached me immediately. It smelled terrible. And the employees… don’t even get me started on the employees. Man, this might have been the saddest squad to ever work at a Subway. Constant attitude, terrible sanitation, and just downright should-be-unemployed.
I ended up getting my sad sandwich and told myself I’d never come back again. But then I had a realization — maybe if I came back later, when the managers would be working, I could get a better everything. So I did it. And to my chagrin, I was met by the employees who were not the afternoon crew — and actually good at their job.
At the end of our interaction, the employee apologized for the afternoon staff. And mind you, they were still cleaning up the mess that had been left behind.
This Subway just stinks — outright. Do not recommend. Only for the unfortunate souls who didn’t go to Jersey Mike’s.
This is a really new Subway, much like many of the businesses around the TBK Bank Sports Complex. The floor is a uniform 1 x 2 tiling with swirled patterns of beige and darker coloring. There’s a drop ceiling with recessed lights and some strange artwork and Subway branded messaging along the walls. In short, it looks like a newly designed subway. Not offensive, not bad in any other way.
I opted for a 6″ bacon egg and cheese sandwich on wheat bread with pepper jack and a few vegetables. The sandwich was completely inoffensive – the eggs and bacon were of the quality expected of a subway, and so did the bread. It was an acceptable sandwich based on my past experiences and expectations of this sandwich purveying company.
Probably wouldn’t come here regularly – I’m not a huge fan of Subway in general. I certainly wouldn’t avoid eating here either, though. If you’ve read this far I’ll leave you with this – this is a Subway. Don’t overthink the decision to eat here or not. Seriously, why would you even read a Google maps review for a Subway? It’s a Subway.
