I was in subway Winterset yesterday 8/5/23. I eat there usually once a week. The sandwiches all got raised 1 dollar. My cold cut combo sandwich got raised another dollar. I really like that subway but there pricing themselves out of my business. I’m going to not go to subway anymore. Bummer

Honestly as far as Subways go, this one is definitely one of the best ones I’ve been to. Nice and cozy in a neat little town, and the people working there as of the time of this review were really nice and made the experience a fair bit better. Gave a tip, and would definitely return ^^

I visited this location mid day. Apparently they were out of almost every veggie. Had no meatballs warmed and ready. I was limited on options as to what sandwiches I could order due to emplyees lack of stocking/prepping supplies. I think I had maybe 4 sandwiches I could choose from that they could ALMOST make how they are advertised. This store needs a lot of work. I hope whomever owns this, sees this and helps make some changes.

Was very busy. Stood in line about 15 mins. There were 3 people working. There was a line, that was turned going by booths. Some one walked in, and did not want to wait in line, so she went to the cashier and got her to walk away from collecting peoples money. The lady told her what she wanted, and the employee, went back into the make area, and proceeded to make that lady’s order. Cutting infront of the two other employees, making sandwiches for customers. The employee then rang her up and gave her, her food.

Staff was friendly and fast. One of the sandwiches got toasted which we did not want and was just some miscommunication. They were happy to just make a new one for us and corrected the issue for us. Store was clean and did not take long this visit to get our food.

Always a bridesmaid but never a bride. Subway in Winterset has always been a bit “just not quite there”. Overall, the place makes pretty good sammys. Management, leaves a bit to be desired. Occasionally, they’ll hire vibrant “go-getters” who make the experience awesome. But if you normally strive for 4 outta 5 stars just to be on the better side of average, well…

My friend and I didn’t end up ordering anything. We walked in, saw that prices had just about doubled since our last visit, quite some time ago, turned around and walked out. I can buy a baguette and all of the accoutrements at a grocery store and make a sandwich. It’s not like it’s specialized cuisine.
