There was a crew of 3 people, a gentleman, a youngerwoman, and an older lady with reddish hair. The older lady had an awful attitude, she was loud, obnoxious, and making inappropriate comments about the orders. Bossing people around, both customers and employees. The other two employees were visibly upset and one of them attempting to apologize for that lady’s rude behavior. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this Subway, at least until that lady is gone!

Very disappointed in this subway! We walked in this evening to order some subs. We had coupons that I received from my local post office. There was a sign in the store stating that they do not accept coupons. That you have to go online and do an order pickup. Why send out coupons if you can’t even use them inside the store? How lazy of you Portland, Indiana Subway! Guess we won’t be returning to your store since you are too lazy to scan a coupon.

I do not think that Subway will ever hit 5 stars with me. We stopped by there to grab a sandwich last evening. I had not eaten at Subway in quite a few years, so I figured why not. My issues are these. First, If you’re going to have everyone line up to the door then move a couple of these tables that nobody in the world is using so there is a clear path. The way it sets currently everybody has to say excuse me or I’m sorry every time they come in and out. Second, it felt like the sandwich artist were really hurrying me along. Kind of impatient. I have not been in Subway in years I do not even remember what is on your menu. I realize it is long days in the fast food industry. But a little patience would be very helpful. The end product was good though. I will not say it is the greatest sub ever made but it was decent. And I ate every bite of it.

Used to never eat at this subway because the food was always terrible. Decided to give it another try a few months ago and have been very pleased. Have been back multiple times. Service is always great and the subs have been delicious. I assume something has changed (management, employees?). Great job!

I have always loved thier food but now that they NO longer participate in ANY of the deals nor do they accept ANY coupons, not even the ones delivered locally(even though they are our only subway)(makes the whole coupon deal sent in the mail just a waste of paper)but anyway because of this it makes it impossible to eat here for a decent price when it comes to feeding the family. If it’s just me, it’s not so bad but not gonna spend that much for the whole family to eat cold meat sandwiches that I can make at home for half the price. Not so convenient without coupons and deals and to me for lunch meat subs the only convenient thing was price. If that’s gone so is the convenience. Went from being a weekly customer to not having eaten here for the last 6 months.

My wife and I have been coming to this Subway here in Portland IN for several years. It always has very good, polite, prompt service. The place is always clean. And the food always fresh and delicious. Cheapest meal anywhere that definitely fills me up. I usually get a 6 inch sub. If my wife and I want the same thing then we get a foot long and then make it a meal with chips and a drink. Where else can u get a sandwich with whatever u want and whatever u want on it and however much of each add on u want. Made fresh in front of u. Not some unidentifiable processed meat made how they want to make it. It used to be Burger Things motto…’ have it your way ‘. They don’t even ask u anymore.

Staff, great. Food, great. Manager, HORRIBLE. TLDR: manager refuses coupons.
No signs or nothing had to wait until our food was made up to find out that the manager stopped accepting coupons because “he was losing too much money.” They are gonna lost a lot more money because I’m not going to that one until they change. If it was any other time, we would have had no choice but to cancel our whole order (3 footlong sandwiches, wasted). Bonus: I just heard while writing this that the manager used to have signs but has them taken down. Shady, greedy….. Staff tried to warn us but the manager wouldn’t let them. I hope he enjoyed that extra 8 bucks the coupon would have covered bc it’s the last he will ever get from us.

Slow service , paid threw the app and waited over 20 minutes then came in to pick up and it still wasn’t ready. I had to wait another 30 minutes to get my food while the employee was talking instead of doing her job. Plus the customers (due to covid-19) won’t leave because she wouldn’t stop talking! 1st and last time I go here!!! And still got my order wrong, it had special instructions and I kept telling her it was wrong!!
They do not change out their gloves!!! They do not wash their hands!!! They do not wear gloves when touching products!! Multiple people walking out!! I myself told them to wash their hands and put fresh gloves on!!! So very unsanitary!!!!
