On a recent drive up I-69 our tummies started talking so we decided to fix that issue with a visit to this Subway location. We’d eaten at this location five or six years ago when camping in the area, so figured it’d be a good time to try it again.
This restaurant has seen an update since our last visit. The inside is brightly colored and has definitely improved since our last visit. It’s brightly colored and the furniture looks new.
I’m often the kind of person that finds what he likes at a restaurant and sticks with. For Subway, it’s always been the B.M.T. In this case “always” equal literally over 30 years. I’d stray once in a while, but if I were to do the math, it’d be around 98% that my Subway order will be a B.M.T. On this particular visit, however, I spotted something on the menu called the “Spicy Nacho” sub.
Well, you just hit me with a One- Two- punch because “spicy” and “nacho” are my middle names. (not really). The nice lady described it to me and she barely put a period at the end of her sentence when I committed to it and ordered it. And, since Jim is stepping outside of his comfort zone, I ordered 2 cookies instead of a bag of chips that I’d probably save for later anyway. It’s almost as if this visit was Jim going out on a limb. (For those that may be wondering, that rhyme was not intentional but it worked, so I’m leaving it in.)
Ok, it’s not often that I’m WOW’d by something in fast food, but the Spicy Nacho sub did just that. Could it be because the only thing I have to compare it to, really, is the B.M.T.? Or could it be because it was just REALLY good? Either way, I loved it. I didn’t expect the jalapeño and the sriracha sauce to work so well together, but they did.
Will the Spicy Nacho sub replaced the B.M.T.? I’d have to try it a few times before I make that decision. Then again, as fast food is, it’ll probably go away in a month or two. Fast food LOVES to take away things that Jim really likes.
The store was VERY clean when we walked in. Table and trash were clean, the drink station was clean and fully stocked. The staff (both of the young ladies working) were fun and helpful. There’s a nice patio out front for warm weather enjoyment.

When I first stopped I had plans on grabbing and taking it to-go! But this employee made me feel so welcomed that I decided to sit in and eat. I didn’t get his name, but he was very patient and polite! I had no idea what I wanted! Luckily he recommended the tuna sandwich! Never tried tuna like that but I’m glad I did! Delicious! First time stopping at Subway in Daleville, IN for lunch, but it definitely won’t be the last!

I rarely have an issue at this location. The employees are cordial and never act like I’m interrupting their screen time. Their lunch time staff are awesome!

The crew does ok and the food is fine, but it sucks that they don’t have low fat mayo anymore. I guess they totally gave up on their rep as a healthy choice option.

Whoever the gentleman was working at 11:00 on 9/13 was very courteous and professional. I frequent here and this was one of the best visits yet. Refreshing this day and age. Kudos to him!

The food was great! The person working in the drive thru was rushed and the speaker may not have been working well. I had to repeat my order several times but it did seem like they were busy. They also forgot to put napkins in the bag which is very important because the sub I get is a little messy.

Stopped here with my sons for lunch. When we walked in there was 1 other customer that was paying. The middle-aged woman taking our order had such a bad attitude. She leaned on the counter and rested her head on her hand and then made a loud sigh everytime 1 of us stated what kind of sandwich, bread, etc. It was bad enough that in the middle of 1 sandwich being made and 1 being ordered we left. I figure since Subway is so expensive for breat and meat and my money is valuable that I will spend the money somewhere that employees people that understand that if they chase away enough custimers the only work they’ll have to do is find another place to work after the place shuts down.
