I never give reviews but my experience at Subway was honestly so bad that I had to so I could warn other people to not go to this location. I always go to Subway because it is a fast food alternative that still provides healthy options. I am someone who counts calories so Subway is a lifesaver for me when I need something quick to eat. I went to this location and tried to order and customize a wrap. The two ladies, who are a mother and daughter duo, told me that I was not allowed to customize a wrap, and that it had to be made exactly as what it is on the board. But then they let me switch to bread and customize that sandwich despite me not ordering a specific sandwich from the board. They told me corporate would not allow them. There was a lady behind us who actually worked at the Subway in Athens, who very respectfully told them that they are allowed to customize wraps and that, in Athens, they customize wraps all the time. I didn’t want to cause any problem, so I ate the bread, and took the extra calorie hit to my calorie allowance. Then when the lady who worked at the Subway in Athens left after getting her sandwiches, they talked bad about her to other customers! The AUDACITY! Then it got even worse. An elderly and audibly impaired woman came in trying to order a 12 inch sandwich cut into 8 parts. They very rudely told her that they couldn’t do that. When the older woman tried to further explain, they kept cutting her off and started asking her if she wanted 8 sandwiches, or if she wanted a platter. The elderly woman tried to tell them again, that she just wanted one sandwich cut into 8 parts, they interuppted her once more and told her she could not do that. When she tried to customize her sandwich, they told her she couldn’t, then they got very angry with her when she said that the other subways in Athens allow it. The two women started yelling at the older woman saying this is not a franchise and the owner can basically do what he wants. It all boils down to this, these women are rude, disrespectful, and lazy, and are on a power trip if I have ever saw one. The Subway in Ardmore has lost my support for being rude and disrespectful. I have never seen this is my life, and am ashamed for them.

My sandwich turned carnivorous. I ordered a tuna sandwich, and it looks like the vegetables ate my tuna. You should add more tuna to the sandwich—don’t be so stingy.

This location is excellent, the food is the best Subway you’ll find anywhere, but the employees make it truly special! We drive out of our way to visit this Subway because they genuinely are that much better.

Our catering order today was placed over the phone because we had a couple special requests. The order was initiated last night but was completed this morning. Both shift leads (Lori and Anne) plus the Manager today (MIchelle) all went above and beyond to ensure our order was exactly what we hoped it would be.

The owner should be very proud of the team and if you need a sub while in, or passing through Ardmore, this is your spot!

Have never had issues with any other Subway toasting my sandwiches but have been repeatedly told at this location that they don’t toast any sandwiches when they definitely used to. Kinda frustrating. I don’t want a cold sandwich.

The mother-daughter duo needs to be trained on customer service. Very lacking on people skills and probably the worst customer service I have ever seen anywhere.

I was very disappointed but I only had a few minutes on break.. I asked for an Elite sub. I asked for it to be toasted. It’s like he just put it in the microwave to warm it up. The it’s was a lot of fruit flies where the lettuce and banana peppers was. I asked him to fit the sandwich on the other counter. This is not the rotisserie chicken that goes on the sandwich. I will not be returning to this subway again.

When we entered the store, there were not any other customers inside. The associate began to let us know when we approached the counter to order that she was tired, and that’s when we should have left. Instead, we attempted to order 2 sandwiches. The first she asked if we wanted it toasted, and I replied no. It was toasted anyway. The second sandwich ordered was an allergy friendly sandwich with chicken as a member of our family has a severe allergy to beef and pork called alpha gal. As she began making the 2nd sandwich, she asked if we wanted salt and pepper, and we said, “No, thank you.” However, she still put salt and pepper on it. I asked her not to cut the second sandwich because I watched where she put the knife she used to cut the first sandwich. She cut it anyway. We had to refuse the second sandwich because of cross contamination. I’m glad we are mindful of allergies and cross contamination in preventing anaphalatic shock because otherwise, my husband could have died had he eaten the sandwich prepared as we do not have his epi pen with us.

The staff was very kind and very pleasant and apologetic, although we were instructed to notify them of the allergy prior to ordering when we visit next time to let them know. In theory, I’d agree. However, the associate was not listening to us from the beginning, so she wouldn’t have heard what we said. We also will not be back because we were only traveling through the area on our way to Nashville.

I hope this review highlights how dangerous not paying attention to what the customer is saying can be because had we not been paying attention, my husband’s throat would be closing.

If I could give negative stars, I would. The old lady working today decided that I was the customer she wanted to scream at for no reason. Then she refused to give her name. I can’t believe they let these people work in customer service. After years of being a loyal subway customer, I will not be returning. I spent $45 and waited over an hour to have my day ruined.
