I don’t expect Michelin 5 star quality in an $11 Subway sanwich. What I do expect, they delivered on.
The meat isn’t Boar’s Head, but it isn’t Oscar Mayer either. It was chilled, kept at proper temps and rather tasty.
The tomatoes however is why a 4 star. It was obvious that they were not fresh sliced but had been refrigerated over night. It’s acceptable, but just something I personally don’t do.
The store was neat, tidy and clean. The attendants took care to clean after each sandwich and keep health standards.
They were not chatty, but they took time for eye contact and smiles. Which is a huge plus.
The bread seemed a little older than 2 hours and kept in a humid warmer. Standard Subway practice. But it is also a tell that early prep was done too far in advance that day. It happens, nothing to be overly concerned about.
All in all, I give this Subway a 9 out of 10. The employees don’t make the rules, they make the sandwiches and they deserve a hand for a job well done.
Overall, a pleasant experience, good sandwich, pleasant employees.
The customer should show respect to them, be polite, say “may i” or “can i”. Not “Give me”or “Make me”. I give the workers a 10 out of 10 for not slapping some of those customers with a foot long BMT.
The owner and manager should make sure to respect the ones that work to put money in thier bank accounts. I hope they do.
Returned for another sandwich, and was pleased again. Of course it’s not 5-star dining with a michelin star chef preparing me a gourmet sandwich. But it was perfect. Fresh bread, fresh vegetables, and clean fresh meats with lots of flavor. Again, very clean, well kept, food handling safety protocols followed. Subway franchises around the state would do good to follow the standards this store does. To the employees; well done.
