I came in on my lunch break to this location: 7523 C Garners Ferry Rd, Columbia, SC 29209. I was in good spirits, & ready to place my order. I haven’t eaten subway in over a year but never been to this location before. The guy that took my order wasn’t very friendly & short in words, which is fine bc I was there to order & not make friends. But he was very RUDE while taking my order & EXTREMELY STINGY with veggies I wanted to add to my sandwich. 1st he started by breaking my extra cheese in half. I asked “is it going to be charged extra if you break it like that?” He snapped at me saying “Cheese is $2 extra a slice!” I was like ok, I want extra cheese but let it go. Then I asked for “heavy olives”. He gave me some but not enough so I asked for more & he said that would be an extra charge olives. I asked when did subway start charging extra for olives? At this point trying not to get frustrated bc maybe the policy changed but idk. So I say pickles please (still being polite) & get like 6, this is a footlong sub btw, so I asked for more. I love pickles & it’s subway! He said “that’s going to be extra!” I say “tomatoes please” he give me 4 tomatoes & I asked for extra he said that’s extra too & at this point I’m livid bc he proceeds to give me 2 at the end of the sub. I can go all day on details but that was the gist. The experience went from me going in excited for lunch to me leaving angry and upset & never visiting that location again. Wish I could’ve gotten his name. He was the older Arabic (I believe) man. He should definitely work the back because his customer service skills are not a good representation for Subway or any place that has to display customer service to the public!

Stopped in to get a quick bite for dinner. I had the #33 Teriyaki Blitz. I added spinach, pickles, onions, banana peppers, and tomatoes. With added mayo, and teriyaki sauce.
The service was quick, and I was able to get in and out quickly. Also, a nice environment to sit in and eat.

The two men working at this subway always have a nasty attitude, The tall, one acts like he really doesn’t wanna be there please find another job if you don’t wanna be there. The food doesn’t look fresh at all.

These guys are extremely rude and disrespectful! It doesn’t make sense to order on the app because they’re going to make your sub the way they want to . They talk to you as if you’re nothing And beneath them .I asked them if I could have a small cup for water and he told me if I wanted a water buy a drink . I will never eat at this place again !

Seems when you have to get your order corrected, the guy who works mornings, need to correct his attitude when providing customer service. Won’t be going back to this location. Nasty attitude when trying add to my order. No problem paying. Kept repeating myself to add to my order when trying to straighten up the confusion on my receipt. Still didn’t understand what I was trying to do, so I walked out.

Went during the 5 dollar footlong event. Customer beware, this is only if you place your order online. We were told after placing and completing the order at checkout. Got charged an extra 10 dollars. Can anyone say bait and switch. Really disappointed. They naturally assume that you will pay anyway if you are good people. Unfortunately they lost our business for good. Shame on them.

App didn’t work, so I tried calling to order directly. Friend was already on the way there (I fly-he buys).
Someone picks up, I explain, and ask to order over the phone. They hang up on me.
I call a second time, someone else picks up, and I explain again while noting that I was just hung up on. They say ok then hang up on me again.
I call my friend who’s now outside and they say there’s only one person behind the counter there not doing anything.
Can’t think of a reason why they would do this, but they did. So they get a negative review.

I’m a fan of Subway when I travel…healthier than some of the other fast food alternatives. Since I try to eat a more plant-based diet, I normally order the Veggie Delight. Some of the vegetables at this location looked pretty old. I had to ask if they had more spinach in the back, which they did get for me. But they were kind of skimpy when fixing my sandwich. Most locations recognize that you’re not getting any meat, typically a higher cost item to them, so they are happy to load up the veggies. I had to request more of a couple items as they were spread so thin I’d hardly even notice them. At check out, I presented my Subway loyalty card and they said, “we don’t do that”. Anyway, it was OK, but I probably won’t be back.
