Today I want to recognize some Black Excellence right here in Statesville! The young Black lady who made my sandwich today was absolutely outstanding. She was professional, patient, and had such a positive attitude — she made sure my order was just the way I wanted it, with care and a smile.
It’s refreshing to see young Black employees showing up, standing out, and setting an example of excellence and pride. She deserves her flowers for real!

I love subway! Normally I love the subs. But on this particular day I wasn’t happy. Inside was a mess. The food behind the counter was like a tornado hit it. No wrapping on the meats or cheeses. Nothing looked fresh. It looked kinda like it was sitting under heat lamps. Still I ordered a roast beef sub with pepper Jack cheese, olives, pickles and mayo. It looked good while she was making it but when I got it home less than a mile away I opened it up and the smell was offputting. Maybe the roast beef was bad? I tasted it but within an hour I was making friends with the tidy bowl man. When I felt well enough to drive I went back to subway with the sub to get my money back and they said they couldn’t take it back or give me my money back due to company policies. I will not be going back to that subway again. Plus I wasn’t even greeted when I walked in. They looked at me like I disturbed their conversation.

This location of Subway needs to be evaluated. The customer service is always bad, the employees seem like they despise their jobs and they are ALWAYS out of most of their items. I have giving them several chances and there has been no improvements. I recommend that if you must have Subway that you seek out another Statesville location. Can’t give a full review on food as once again they were out of most items needed to construct my sandwich.

✅ No more out-of-stock headaches
✅ Staff is friendly & some are helpful (I mean what can you really expect nowadays).
☆ Seriously, in the last 6 months, they’ve stepped up big time. Felt it was only fair to update my review—great job team!

The subway is constantly out of Sandwich additions such as jalapenos and cheese selections. The last time I ordered from here two days ago my girlfriend got a pizza sub and nobody put marinara on it. The staff are typically not friendly and seemed irritated at making your food. I know that it is hard to find employees and keep them in a high turn around business such as fast food but the employees you do find should not be rude to the customers

I was there shortly after they opened. I’m so upset I didn’t ask the lady’s name. She was nice. They did not have onions ready and I was running late. She offered to cut some but I didn’t have the time. So, she gave me a complimentary cookie. I was rushed but her kind gesture made such a nice start to my Saturday morning. Thank you! She has short hair and I’m guessing she’s in her 50’s. Great employee!!!

This was the worst subway I have been in. They were out of lettuce, onions, steak, pickles. They only had American cheese as well No provolone or pepperjack. They should just close for the night at this point.

I had an online order that was saying it was ready at 12:15 . I asked the lady and she didn’t even look at me and said, “ he is making it”. I say okay and sat down 15 mins go by and I seen subs being made but not mine so I ask her again and she said again it’s being made. I said that is what you said 15 mins ago, so I’m waiting again and she bagged my subs up and just holded them up without saying a word! I asked for the manager and all he said was I know I’ll probably be by myself by the day is over. Very rude lady !

Both girls there seemed annoyed to make mine or the man behind me order. They was out of almost everything and would not get more just gave us what was left. Got extremely rude when I told them they left off the bacon on a chicken bacon ranch sub. I will never go back to this location.

0 star rating! The black girl at the front is so rude!!!! Gave a group of black guys free bottled drinks and then when I gave her my coupons she wouldn’t let me use them and told me the manager doesn’t let them give things for free or use expired coupons, yet she just gave a group of black guys free bottles teas… that’s pure racism. So if you can give them free bottles drinks and said it’s not a problem they won’t mind then you can use my coupons. She was rude and laughed in my laugh when I dropped my drink cup. Rude and needs to learn customer service skills because that was not it. I wouldn’t recommend this subway go to the one on broad street!!!!! Much better service !
