DO NOT ORDER HERE!!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY, THIS LOCATION IS HORRIBLE!!! I tried two times to order online, and both times the order was canceled. The second time it even said the order was on its way to be delivered. Now they are refusing to answer the phone. Horrible customer service, will definitely be reporting this location.
Update: they decided to deliver today, however the bread was somehow burnt and cold at the same time. AND they got the bread wrong on one of my sandwiches. AND they didn’t put the right toppings on it. Still not answering the phone. I have put it yet another complaint to the company.

My husband & I stopped to grabbed a quick lunch after church this past Sunday (8/17/25). A young lady named Ashelynn was running the whole store at Pinecrest Plaza in Southern Pines, NC by herself. It was pretty busy when we were there, but she handled it like a pro!! She was quick getting everyone’s subs made & checking everyone out. She did a wonderful job & I wanted her to get some recognition!!

Ordered online, paid, went to pick up, and it looked like it was opened signed said open was during operating hours but the door was locked. Waited 30 minutes thinking someone was in the bathroom, went next door to see if they had a different number because the one on here and on door just kept ringing, and I never got my food. Just to be safe I called non-emergency line to do a welfare check. But now I’m out $40 and never got our dinner. Don’t ever order online with this store because apparently I was the 2nd online order today that this happened to.

I didn’t get her name, but employee 3252 was so patient and professional. She was the only one there and 5 people were in front of me and 9 people came in behind me, yet she just worked through each order, unflustered. The food was good, too, of course.

This location has had some issues as far as food prep, staffing, and at times they didn’t even have bread but were accepting online orders with panicked employees behind the counter unable to fulfill the orders. Today my fiancé went there and there was a sign on the door that said “bathroom break. Be back in 5-10 minutes.” My fiancé advised that he, along with two other customers, had been waiting for 30 minutes. One customer was pounding on the glass, another on the phone trying to reach the store. I called non emergency and requested a welfare check. Per my fiancé the lady “did not look well” and was visibly sweating when she did come out and opened the door to allow customers in. Needless to say- I hope the worker is okay. I will say that my sandwich went right in the trash and I’ll contact customer service to give further feedback- we’ve given this location several tries in hopes that things would improve but unfortunately they have not. We will be giving our business to other chains who have less issues with inventory, functionality of the equipment, and appropriate staffing. A manager is rarely there, so if your order is not fulfilled or you need a refund you have to make an extra trip back to the location when a manager is available.

Store was very clean, trash cans were not overflow, food was great. Service was a little slow but that’s ok, wasn’t in any hurry. The soda machine wasn’t working properly but other than that…great experience.

I ordered a blt and a rotisserie chicken they substituted the rotisserie chicken for another blt without giving us a choice. The sandwiches didn’t have a bit of tomato on it and the bread was stale.

Pre-ordered lunch for my work crew of 6. 6 total footlongs. Placed order at 9am to be picked up at 1130am, received email at 11:18am notifying me my order had be cancelled by the store. When i went in and spoke to who I assume was a manager, I was told that the order must’ve been cancelled because they thought it was a “cater” order….for 6 sandwiches. I clarified that “6 sandwiches is a cater order?” and was told yes. I have 4 kids and my wife and I in our household, so apparently if i wanted to order from Subway I would have to order catering….wow. And this was after a great experience picking up lunch from an online order at the Whispering Pines location 2 days prior, with zero issues. My stepdaughter used to work at that location and told me it was poorly run and always understaffed and they didn’t want to work, I see now her assessment was spot on. Very disappointed and highly annoyed.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. This is not my first time at this subway location. Though previous experiences have not been this bad they weren’t great either. The place always has an abandoned look. They’re always low on items and their soda machine was out of service twice. Their employees don’t look well groomed or knowledgeable. All these things just doesn’t make you feel welcomed as a customer. Today my experience was so awful that I felt obligated to write this review.
I walked into the store and there was no one there. No one that I could see behind the counter. I approach the counter and try to look behind the register. Nothing. I said “hello” and a young lady sitting at one of the tables on her phone got up and walked behind the counter. She seemed bothered to be interrupted. She washed her hands and put gloves on. Her phone kept going off as I was ordering. She stopped me from ordering and grabbed her phone from her back pocket and texted for a few seconds (didn’t bother me even if it’s not professional). They only had Italian bread. The meats didn’t look fresh (I should’ve just walked away, but thought “it’s just my idea, the meats will be okay”) I should’ve listened to myself! The vegetables also looked old. The lettuce specially. They had no tomatoes. A lot of items were missing (which doesn’t make it appetizing or appealing to the eye of a customer). They had about 6 bags of chips (just one flavor). The store just looked in poor shape. I asked if they had cookies because they had none in display. Employee seemed bothered by it. I ordered 2 foot longs and both my husband and I are now sick (same symptoms as a stomach virus). I knew something was wrong with the meats and it’s probably my fault for eating it. This is not okay. I will call corporate and report this issue. I will never return to this location ever again and now I will stay away from subway overall.
