Food has mostly been great with the exception of a few experiences of which the last being the worst. I asked for a cold cut which I’ve been ordering for 20 years so I know what the meat amount should look like. He placed 4 pieces of the same meat on my sandwhich. After a quick Google search, a 6 inch should have 6 pieces of meat – 2 slices of 3 different kinds of meats. I don’t know if he was aware or slacking on the meat to increase profits but beware.

Havnt been to this location in a while so decided to grab a couple subs after leaving foodlion. Most of the vegetables looked old and nasty what I did get added to my sandwich was very poor 6 pickles total on a footlong very little meat as well, didnt even ask us what cheese we wanted on our subs just threw whatever she wanted on there. There’s absolutely no reason buying a $11 and $12 subs making them a meal should be $35 this place is a joke.

My girlfriend ordered a salad, two wraps, added bacon to one of the wraps.
The worker, (I think he’s the owner) was rude, very skimpy with the ingredients and only put bologna on the cold cut wrap. He charged for a protein bowl instead of a salad, a combo she didn’t order or receive and extra for cheese on my salad.
If he’s the owner I hope he goes out of business soon. He’s ripping people off.
I will be contacting Subway’s corporate office Monday. I suggest everyone else does the same. The people of Oakboro deserve better.

I stopped going to the Oakboro location over a year ago. Each time I go I get same sandwich; however, it is a different price each time and neither reflected the true price on the menu. I ordered a steak n cheese on my last visit. It was so old and had been in the warming bin so long it was tough and crunchy! You can’t use coupons or reason with the owners. They give you one napkin for each order whether you buy one sandwich or 3. My husband ordered a salad and the lettuce was so old it was brown and slimy! They were out of dressings and didn’t tell us until we had the bag in our hand and out the door. Had to go next door and purchase dressing!!!! This location in Oakboro does not follow the franchise standards. One more thing…the drinks are so watered down with carbonated water you can’t even taste the type of drink and the tea is usually soured! I figure it stays in the tea urn overnight. I will not be going back.

Good Fresh Food! My sandwich was 5 minutes late due to rush hours. When I politely inquired standing in queue, the manager immediately got right with the program, made sure another sandwich got put on the grill at the head of the line. He took order and asked me to take a seat. He then personally delivered it to me along with soup and importantly, along with a discount cash refund, and offered to get me something from the bakery on the house. Very cool, highly recommended, very professional and above all very great lovely staff

Ordered 5 footling sub and a pizza .Got home with 4 subs. The one missing was $13.00. Tried to call but phone stated busy and when it did ring ,no answer. This was the subway in ok.

It’s an ok lil spot, relatively clean, marginally attentive. My biggest issue is that they skimp on sandwich ingredients. I have never got a full sandwich from this store. Everytime it’s 2/3 bread and maybe 1/4 sandwich toppings. Sad and stingy for how much is charged for these sandwiches
This is an edit based upon recent experience:
The owners of this location are cheating customers regularly on the sandwiches they make. I myself have written a google review(see above) prior to this complaining of similar behavior and I’m not the only one. I got a foot long steak and cheese on Italian herbs and cheese and there was less than a scoop of steak in the entire sandwich (I have a picture and included it in their Google page.) , they completely forgot the cheese on both my husband’s sandwich and my daughters sandwich. My husband specifically requested cheese for his sandwich(provolone) and my daughters (American). The owners regularly cheat their community of the sandwich ingredients and I will continue to contact corporate directly about this as I was accused by the owner of scrapping off steak to cheat him out of additional steak, when he’s the one who originally cheated me! Subway subs are not cheap and I’m incredibly disgusted at the representative they have in this location. I am absolutely livid and I don’t know that I’ll ever darken the door of a subway again and certainly not that location. I will also be urging ALL members of my community to boycott this Subway in general. It is not ok to cheat your neighbors.

Order placed online paid. My 93yr old grandmother I care for when attempting to put her in car her legs gave out couldn’t even stand. That made me not able to go get order. I called store to explain & advise. Mgr told me he would hold order for next day. I called next day while I had a sitter & Mgr told me give him 15-20 to make fresh new sandwiches. Order was ready brought to my car. I offered to pay again he said no no. Got home 2 mins away n sandwiches had been nooked in microwave from Night b4 making bread moist n lettuce look bad etc… tried calling back & no answer n 3rd attempt left voicemail. So far 43.00 lost.
