Came into this establishment to enjoy a sandwich with my son on Tuesday 11-25 around 630 and the service was awful. The young lady making sandwiches seemed as if she didn’t want to be there. We were going to eat in but decided to take it to go instead. Next time we will go to Dunbar.

We are standing right now outside the Subway where it clearly says they are open from 8 AM to 9 PM every day. We came two minutes before 8, and the worker saw us, then turned around and walked away. Now it’s already ten minutes past nine, and the restaurant is still not open. Very disappointing.

Subway in Dunbar WV is the sandwich place i go to.
Ive been there so many times the sandwich maker knows my order.
The tuna i get is so fresh and delicious as is all the toppings.
The bread is always perfectly baked and you have so many choices to pick from

The poor guy working behind the counter. No one else was working. He had the lunch rush of people standing at the counter waiting to be waited on, plus all the call orders to fill. He was a very nice man. He explained to customers that he would get to them as fast as he could. He was very polite and curiosity. Working to make each customer feel special as he made sandwiches. This store should be proud to have a employee like this gentleman. Sorry I didn’t get his name. I was there on Friday December 1, 2023 at 11:45am.

driving from NC to Ohio. Ordered 4 subs to go. They were the worst subs EVER. They were completely soggy and impossible to eat even with a fork. Had to throw them out the window. Disgusting. Never EVER AGAIN WILL I STOP HERE OR ANYWHERE NEAR THIS PLAZA.

I have had my worse subway experience ever! I eat about 3 subways per week. But this time, I ordered my subs at 430-445 pm and was given 5 pm to pick them up. However, when I arrived there, there was no subways prepared, and the man (chase spencer) doing and serving told me you have to wait in all line as the online goes after serving the people at the store! There were 10! And there was in the windows the sign ordering online you could skip the line. And I began showing him the sign, and he behaved rudely with me. I demanded my money back, and he asked me to leave the store ( which I told I would if he returned my money). And I asked to talk with the manager; someone called Katie, and she was not there. He took 20 minutes, and I gave up at 530 – one hour – later, I changed my mind about taking the sub because the kid showed me that she was not answering the phone. So one hour, I had to wait and be mistreated by a kid of about 20 years old without supervision—shame on this, Katie and the site owner.

We rarely eat at Subway, but stopped at the one at Riverwalk Plaza earlier today. They were busy and you could tell the girl working there was a new employee. The guy working, whom we assume was the boss, was rude while giving her instructions and then commented very loudly that an “order was going to take a while because the new trainee has no idea what she’s doing.” We immediately walked out. And will not return. What a jerk.

I gave this location a 3 because frankly it’s hard to mess up subways food.
Today’s wait was just not good. Mostly it was unnecessary. There are no people in line and my wife and I go in… We’re greeted by a mumbling sandwich maker.. who besides the fact we have to tell him our orders 3 times, is slow and as we order he turns to get bread ignoring the very question he asked… This takes a while.
Then another person comes up….he proceeds to have a conversation with the other guy in the back about some other order…nope..not making our sandwiches and talking…but stopped the whole time.
Pros:
– it’s subway…like one like them all
– location is convenient to other shopping.
Cons:
– parking is sometimes iffy
– the folks working here could be taught efficiency organization and speed.
– the veggies put on we’re very inconsistent quantity wise.
– thank God we didn’t say extra mayo there was half a bottle on one of our sandwiches.
