This is one of the best Subway locations ( E Stuart Dr. Galax Virginia). I’ve been to — the food is always fresh and the staff are friendly. However, this is the second time my order has been made incorrectly. I understand things can get busy, but when you don’t get what you ordered and paid for, it’s frustrating. This time, both of my footlongs were wrong — one was missing the meat, and the other didn’t have my fixings. I hope more attention is given to getting orders right, because otherwise this place is great.

We all know how hard it is to get good service at a restaurant, especially quicker or fast food. This place was clean order was taken and completed in a very timely manner. Staff was very friendly. And to be perfectly honest with you probably the best experience I’ve had at the subway.

Absolutely Disgusting. I have never seen bread like this at any Subway. So tough and hard to chew. No one there seemed to HEAR what was supposed to be put on the wrap. Toasted without the egg…just a glob of cheese. Good thing Hubby and I noticed the egg was totally absent. Not like this Subway to serve anything that looks or tastes this bad.

The drive-thru girl was very short in response, once I showed assertiveness she then changed her attitude & tried to be friendly but you could tell that it was forced.
I also I felt rushed while giving my order because she kept asking “is that all? “ before I could even finish placing one order..
We ordered 2 Foot-longs, Both of those w Turkey;
1 = American cheese ; Toasted, Light Mayo, Very Light Mustard, lettuce, Onions, Pickles & Vinegar & Oil.
The 2nd = Pepper-jack Cheese, Toasted, Heavy Onion , Light Jalapeño, Banana Peppers & Heavy Sweet Onion Teriyaki Sauce.
What we got instead (once we got home & sat down to eat)
Upon unwrapping our subs we noticed The first Sub (described above) was missing cheese entirely and drenched in mustard (As Seen in The Photo Below) instead of having light mustard. There was no vinegar and oil on it. & The second Sub only had 2 small slices of cheese one on each half of the sub & it also had Heavy Jalapeño instead of Light Jalapeño.
Almost every time we’ve went to this subway we’ve had this issue, unless of course the manager is there. I’m not sure whether or not he was there today but I do know – no matter how many different cashiers / sandwich artist they hire it’s always a let down & a waste of money.
I live too far out of town to be wasting gas all just to take the food back & complain.. I’ve also worked in the fast food industry myself, when I first working so I understand that mistakes are made & I usually don’t say anything but this is a reoccurring issue at this location.
Therefore I advice going else where if you must eat out.. I think I’ll stick to cooking at home before I waste another dime there .

Not one person tried to help fix a situation, I came in and before have never had an issue at any subway with online gift cards, but now I need a loyalty account??? I waited patiently and then had 3 different people look at the screen and shrugg like cavemen, no one made fforts to call upper management or anything

10/23/25 7:30pm to the guy that was working the drive through. We came through and ordered 3 subs, he was very rude and interrupting as we were trying to order our food. Horrible customer service because he didn’t even slow down to comprehend what we were saying, all 3 of our subs were made incorrectly and 2 were still cold. As I was handing the cash to pay for it he disrespectfully ripped it out of my hand. When asking him if there was a manager on duty to report him he said no and smirked as if he knew what he was doing. Also once we left and realized our food was wrong we tried calling back where we sat on hold for a total of 5 mins for it to just go straight to voicemail. Horrible experience and this ain’t the first time we’ve had this experience with the same employee. If you don’t have customer service skills then get the hell out of customer service. Do better Subway!!

Placed online order at 7:13 pm for 7:30pm pickup. The store is locked and you cannot pick up orders except thru drive thru. The line was around the building and almost into the road. Finally got to the window at 8:06pm, so more than 30 minutes after it was supposed to be ready.
Tried to get them to answer the phone so I could cancel my order and nobody answers. Knocked on the door and they refused to open the door so I could cancel.
Older lady was rude and hateful and claims they are doing their best and had to let a staffer leave to fight a fire. I get that, but then don’t take online orders if you can’t provide the service. But this store has really gone downhill with lack of staff.
I get they are understaffed… but this is totally unacceptable.
I would have cancelled the order and gone somewhere else if I had known how bad the wait was going for to be.

My food was only missing a topping or two but hey mistakes happen right its a easy fix. So we had gone through the drive thru originally (hence how the toppings were missing cause i was in my car not inside) but to fix this we went inside.. for no reason instead of just simply adding the toppings to the sandwich they were argumentive and extremely rude. At the end of this situation they decide to just make a new sandwich ……ok thats fine .
We ask for it toasted and they purposely toast it for so long that its burnt they then have the audacity to tell me I shouldn’t ask for it toasted if we dont want it toasted.. at that point I just gave them the sandwich back and asked for a refund she wouldn’t refund the combo just the sandwich so i ate a bag of chips and drank sour tea for lunch

Ordered curbside on the app and was shown to be ready on the app at 4:20. Got there at 4:24 and checked in. 4:45 and still no one had came out so I went inside. Had to wait at the back of a line of about 4 people. I told the server I was just there to pick up an app order and was told oh, they’re working on it. I told her it was shown as ready at 4:20. Was told well, we’ve been slammed. I said it’s fine. Another 10 minutes and they finally made my last sandwich and as the server bagged my order she went to the counter and picked up 2 subs which had been lying there the whole time I was in the store and had probably been there since 4:20 when it was shown to be ready. Everything was cold as a stone. Finally got my order and left at 5:05. Got no sorry for your wait, nothing but here you are sir. I’ve ordered here a lot in the past but I’ll be slow to go back.
*Update to this review:
I went back today on 2-13-25. One year later, same movie I’ve seen before. Almost the identical situation, waited for 25 minutes after I checked in, ended up going inside. The subs were even piled up on the counter, same as before, not bagged up, cold as a stone, just pitiful service. If you like cold food and to be treated like a burden then this is the place for you. I wish I could rate it zero. I’ll take my business to RJ’s from now on.
