The second employee stepped in to help and asked what meat I wanted. I said “chicken toasted.” When it came out of the toaster, I realized she had used a different kind of bread than I would’ve chosen. She also hadn’t asked me what bread I wanted. I didn’t say anything because I felt uncomfortable and didn’t want more tension.
When she added the vegetables, she did it roughly and without care. The whole experience felt rushed and disrespectful. I ended up spending nearly $15 on something I didn’t even want, and I left feeling upset.
For identification purposes, both employees appeared to be a lot on the heavier side, and one had very short hair. Not very attractive at all. I don’t know their names, but I hope management is able to look into who was working during that shift.
I’d really like to speak with a manager about this experience. It was unprofessional and disappointing
So I paid for two sandwiches and a drink.
Ordered it online, picked it up and went home. Upon unwrapping the sandwiches, it was clear that they were not edible. The bread was dangerously undercooked. Parts of the bread were still doughy.
Two of the three sandwiches were supposed to be toasted. If the employees actually toasted them, you couldn’t tell. With the bread being so poorly baked, it is possible that they were toasted, but again, under penalty of death, I’m telling you, no toasting was evident.
I tried calling 8-10 times, you get no one.
I drove back and explained the situation to the young man that handed me the sandwiches originally, and he apologized and blamed an earlier shift for the poorly baked bread.
Look, I get it, no one wants to be the one responsible. Let’s say for a moment that indeed, the poorly baked bread was the fault of the previous shift. The problem I still have with the young man I was dealing with is that he (or his associate) made not one, but THREE sandwiches with this obviously defective bread.
He went out of his way to agree with me that the bread was not suitable and should never have been sold, so why did he (or his associate) make sandwiches with that bread?!
Then I was told that he could only refund the sandwiches because, you know, I filled up the drink cup before I left from the original visit.
Ok. I didn’t argue, I just said, “that’s fine.”
Never again. For the price of a fountain drink, this location has lost my business forever.
I have received some poorly constructed sandwiches from this location in the past, and a few times I’ve received sandwiches that were incorrect, differing from my online order, but I’ve always let it slide.
I’m done. This was the straw.
Image is one of the “toasted” sandwiches. The picture doesn’t do it justice, it’s many times worse than that photo, but I’m not a food photographer, it was just a quick snap while I was upset. I should have taken more and better photos.
I sent a message through the website and received a response from the manager this morning. He briefly apologized but offered no resolution to the problem. I sent a message back regarding the funds that were held, which was not responded to. Then found out that not only were the funds held but they were withdrawn from the account. Tried calling store, sat on hold for about 10 minutes and got hung up on. Pretty aggravated that these people are stealing money from customers for a service they never got. Not returning to this location.
Obligated to purchase. My mistake. He charged me a full price of 12.41 for chicken and two slices of American cheese. I hope the owner reads this. Won’t return
