Tonight, I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this Subway location. I went with my son and my niece around 8:45 pm, and what started as a simple first time visit turned into an unpleasant ordeal.
While I was there, the “manager” got into a heated argument with another customer over a payment misunderstanding. The customer was explaining that they were paying for two separate orders, but the manager didn’t understand and tried to charge him for two orders when it was one, he repeated himself I few times but she did not understand. The situation escalated, and the customer started to get upset and raise his voice. I even asked the customer to calm down since my baby was getting scared and try to help since I thought language was the barrier. Eventually, the other customer and his friend left.
However, things got worse when the manager, visibly angry, grabbed the customer’s sandwich and threw it directly to the employees. I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. When I confronted the manager about her behavior, she arrogantly said, “They are my workers, and I can do whatever I want.” That comment was shocking and completely unprofessional.
She then tried to stop the employee from making my sandwich, even though it was already being prepared. The employee apologized, but it was clear she was just trying to keep the peace in a toxic situation. I left, but not before telling her how poorly this store was being managed.
I can’t believe a person like this is running the place. I feel bad for the employees, especially the young girl and the boy who works there. They were the only ones who stayed professional and respectful throughout the whole mess. This manager has no business in a leadership role. I’m not sure if she is the only manager here but hopefully this doesn’t stay like this, I hope they also check the cameras. I definitely not coming back to this place.

Small but mighty!!! The footlong pretzels here are much better than I expected. And I’ve tasted them all. Ive read multiple other reviews about how particularly good this subway is. If this subway closes I will too!!! Leo out ✌️

I ordered online and picked up and all of the sandwiches were wrong. All of the bread was hard and stale they didn’t put cheese and we payed extra for avocado and didn’t get it at all! They were very light in the Sauce and overall terrible experience do better subway.

The place on Islip Avenue in Central Islip needs to train the employees better. They were very slow and had to keep repeating myself to them. They couldn’t even make a sandwich properly so sad. They also didn’t slice the meat in front of you like they say they do in the commercials. The slicing machine was sitting right there on the counter. Disappointing

Absolutely disgusting. Took meat out of a aluminum container from fridge. The meat was dried up and disgusting. They have a beautiful meat slicer which you can tell has never been used. Advertising fresh sliced meat is lie. Stay away from any Subway. Probably the worst place to get a Sub on the planet
