Also they are stingey with ingredients here even when the store is empty. He only put 3 slices of cheese on my footlong when the subway standard is 4. Would not come here again.
I placed the order online and walked in and took my seat without disturbing the employee inside. However the employee was too rude, saying i need to get out of the store and come back after order status is ready.
I didn’t speak to the employee at the first, i was just being seated waiting for my order to be ready still she was too rude and asked me to get out.
Attached the picture if the note which says we can sit inside without disturbing the employee. Still the employee said horrible words to me
Food was taste and good drink choice.
The place was not very busy.
The music could be better.
Never going here again.
Pretty much every time I’ve had the misfortune of going in there, he’s always arguing with/giving customers a hard time and an attitude. God forbid you take more than 5 seconds to figure out what you want to order.
The last time I was there, he was being such a terrible person to an employee who had very clearly just started working there. The employee was trying their best and the manager/owner or whatever he is, was just talking down to them. I emailed corporate about it but never heard back.
I try not to say this in any reviews I post, but AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. No business that treats their customers and employees so poorly deserves to get your money.
Confused I entered the shop and was asked what I could be helped with by a man. I tried telling the person what had happened in the app with no answer. Then a woman showed up and asked the same thing and I explained, she stated that I cannot get that order for that price (the price on the app via the deal that states this store participated in) but that I could only get for regular price so they went and voided/cancelled my order. I then asked if I would get my money back as anyone would because of course the charge is still on my credit card. The lady then gives an attitude and states “Of course, the order was cancelled”.
I think this restaurant could’ve handled the situation better but they didn’t, first of all if they didn’t want to participate in the deal, they could’ve eaten the cost of my order and then changed their backend to not accept the deal for future orders as there are a ton of subways that opted out of this deal.
Secondly I don’t think there was a reason for the lady to give attitude over the second question. I already spent my time and gas coming to the store for no reason and the last thing I needed after the bad news of the order being cancelled despite the restaurant being listed as a participating one was her attitude.
This experience also makes me question whether subway will be a choice for future lunch choices due to the fact that now I know any store owner can just cancel my order due to them not wanting me to have an advertised price. How can I trust the “participating location” in the app anymore? Clearly it means nothing when a store can just cancel my order just because.
Next time I’ll have to stick to a place like McDonald’s because I’ve never had an issue with their rewards app. I’d also like to thank the extremely friendly cashier at the Subway in the Rutgers Student Center as he brought my mood up after this ridiculous issue at this store. I know this store could’ve handled this better but instead did it in a very distasteful way. If 0 stars was possible this location would have it.
Additionally, after reading the other reviews, they also complain about the same woman as I have, which brings the question, why is she still working there? I filed a complaint with corporate but based on other’s feedback it may not mean anything despite the brand damage caused by this woman.
