Sophia’s Veggie Cafe in Jersey City deserves five stars! The veggie burger was absolutely delicious—juicy, flavorful, and clearly made with fresh ingredients. The service was just as impressive. The hostess greeted us warmly and took the time to walk us through the menu, even recommending what to order. Her suggestions were spot on! The entire staff was friendly and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The cozy, inviting atmosphere made the meal even better. I’m definitely coming back again soon and bringing friends. If you love tasty vegetarian food and great service, this place is a must!

Overall, I had a disappointing experience. The food was mediocre — the mac and cheese looked as if someone had already chewed it, so we didn’t eat it. The vegan burger and orange juice were just okay. The total came to $45, and everything was served on paper plates, which felt underwhelming for the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Awesome vegetarian restaurant, located in the heart of Jersey City.
Delicious food — we had the house salad, the daily soap which was lentil, sweet potatoes soap, absolutely the best soap I have had in a long time.
For main dish, we selected the zucchini and lentil hamburger — amazing – soft and tasty!
Definitely coming back here.

Subia is by far the most delicious, wholesome cafe in JC and Hudson County. Every meal is always a win and so delicious. The breakfast wrap is my favorite go to and I find myself thinking of order It on the daily. Love their coffee and smoothies. THE BEST .

Overpriced to hell. 7 gluten free pieces of cauliflower ran me over $13. I appreciate the option, but your other options are also ridiculously priced, which is why I stuck with a starter… but 7 pieces? Just made me hungrier.

Delicious food from delightful people with a quiet, cozy atmosphere. We got better service than from most waiters at full service restaurants. The food is so flavorful, but not overwhelmingly salty. Nothing was dry, either, everything was fresh and moist. I usually hate gluten-free versions of foods, but their gluten-free waffles are extremely moist, like a mochi/waffle hybrid.
I also had no problem getting a table and an outlet on a Saturday afternoon, even when nearby cafés were packed. It’s a great place to bring a laptop or gather a small group!

Absolutely delicious vegan food!!! We tried the the breakfast tacos this time and they did not disappoint at all!! The sauce they had on top was addicting. It comes with too but as you can see they are so filled that you get full fast. Definitely think the high price point is worthy with the large portion size
The only reason i deducted a star this time is because their water cups smelt so weird and we’re dirty when we were given them. I thought that was gross. The other thing was the taco tortilla was fried and it was super oily which i didnt like as much.
The oatmeal cookie was delicious too although they aren’t made by Subias kitchen themselves (not that it matters but just a note!)
Overall would definitely return, great food!!

The subias burger was so tasty and fresh. Their portions are super filling and the smoothies were also super healthy and yummy!
The staff was super sweet and came out with the food relatively quickly.
Definitely recommend this place to my fellow vegans.

If you are on the fence and need to make a decision just DO IT!!! Awesome vegan food and excellent service. Had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Yvonne, and hearing a little about the history of the location and how much work they put into their business. Got the breakfast wrap and veggie wrap, so so so so AWESOME ! So much flavor and extremely filling. Normally I get two wraps just to be safe, assuming most places offer small portions, but this was not the case. . .portions were great and I felt very satisfied after finishing my meal. Sauce and seasoning was on point, and cole slaw on the side was a nice added touch. If you are in jersey city, hit the brakes and pull over, because this vegan cafe is calling your name!! Thank you Yvonne for your wonderful service to the community and for providing an amazing value with plentiful options. You are not only doing a service for the animals, but you are providing immense value & quality for all your customers. P.S. You can even get vegan treats here on your way out, so make sure you stop by and support this terrific local business!
