Old school favorite of mine. First visit here. I’ve eaten from this chain since 1974 or so. Truly one of the best salads I’ve ever had from a sandwich shop. The super salad was exactly that. It was super and I had it dressed out with all the veggies and super sub meats. It was truly delicious.

A Majority Of Us Eat With Our Eyes & Noses First..If The Dish Is Presentable And The Aroma Is Right, We want To Try A Sample..I Believe This Also Includes The Appearance For The Restaurant & Staff? If Theres Trash On The Floors, It Looks Dingy As If The House Keeping Has Been Neglected, We Wonder How Clean Is The Food, Dishes etc..The First Young Lady That Took My Order Was Extremely Nice, However The Young Gentleman That Heated And Completed My Sandwhich. Lets Just Say His Jogging Pants Were Dirty, I Could Tell From The Stains, It Wasn’t From A Days Work…..I COULD SEE HIS BLACK BRIEFS!! Yes His Pants Were Sagging. How Unprofessional Is This? 2 Managers Stood Around , Clearly It Was Okay. That Speaks For The Lack Of Leadership. He Then Proceeded To Act As If He Hated His Job And Clearly Didn’t Want To Be There…The Floors Needed To Be Swept, It Was A Dingy Atmosphere..I Ordered The Ham/ Turkey And Cheese Sub..The Mushrooms Were Soggy? As If They Came From A Jar Not Fresh. I Had The Meal With A Drink $12 Some Change..It Was Decent..However I Noticed While The Gentleman Waited For My Sandwich To Heat Up, He Kept Messing With His Dirty Pants And Tapping His Fingers On The Counter Then Picked Up My Sandwich My Advise To The Managers Is PLEASE Look Into Initiating ( ServSafe & Food Handling Certifications For Your Staff) Sub Station Is SUBTRACTED From My Go Back To List! And Thier New Name: SUB STAY AWAY!

BEST SUBS, PERIOD! You totally earned me back. After the switchover in owners it took a little bit for them to find their footing. However now that I came back, the sandwiches and people are more like I remember. The meat and cheese slices are thick and the people are back to being friendly. I’m so glad that the new owner was able to get things in order! I mean look at this delicious sub!!! I’m glad you’re back Sub Station, I’ll be seeing you twice a week again

I love love love sub station both Gastonia and Belmont and I know they get so busy but when I put in a pickup order at 11:05 to pick up at 12:40 for family to bring to me as I am at work and on lunch break, it wasn’t fully ready. Yes slightly larger order (4 subs and a salad) but it took extra 20 min for it to get ready when it should have been ready. Little disappointed with the speed of it all. Might be a while before we do it again

Great place for a quick lunch and the daily specials are tasty and reasonably priced. Has been a nearly weekly staple of mine for a lunch under $10 for years.
The folks that work there are all excellent and friendly. They really put great care into making a great sandwich or wrap.
Their catering mega-subs are awesome! They were a big hit at the shop this week. Everybody loved it and we will definitely be back for more.

I ordered a chef salad. The previous one I had gotten was perfect. The ingredients were placed correctly to avoid the salad getting wet. I requested the same thing this time. When I picked it up on yesterday all of the wet ingredients and mushrooms, banana, peppers and everything was filed on top of the salad. So of course today the salad is not fresh or dry. I have them take pickles off and the other lady asked me did things look okay and I told her no. It just looked through together, opposed to being made with care. The items were overly salty. The entire lettuce is wet today. All the ingredients are still all over the place and I got double me and added eggs so I spent $15 on something that I could only get three bites out of.

I used to absolutely love sub station years ago. Went today as I remembered they have the ham/provolone special on Mondays after not having gone in a few years. Not sure what happened but ever since new management has taken over the service is significantly lacking. The employees were incredibly rude, were not communicating and seemed like they all couldn’t stand eachother. Wish it was still run by the original owners, this never happened back then. Giving two stars solely because the food has always been delicious.
