This is a great find in South Haven! The chips & queso for the appetizer is very authentic, also loved the margarita options. Good atmosphere& friendly staff!

I’ll start off by saying whoever the manager/owner on duty was very pleasant. I can’t say the same about the hostess who seemed just generally irritable from the moment we walked up. The server was nice, generally very quick, checked on us regularly, but very difficult to communicate with.
The food was just… okay. My wife and I eat at a lot of authentic Mexican and tex-mex restaurants all over so we come with high expectations. The pico and salsa tasted really great! Definitely a highlight. Perhaps the only one for us. The chips were fresh (I’ve seen some reviews about recycled chips but it seems maybe we got lucky? I would be mortified to eat something unsanitary and recycled like that.) The quesadillas were nothing like I’ve ever had and not necessarily in a good way. The cheese and steak inside were good but the tortillas they used seemed like corn street taco tortillas that were stale. They were also very small for the price of the plate. The rice was great. Beans were a nice consistency but not as flavorful as expected.
I can’t comment on drinks since we didn’t order any other than the fact that what I spotted coming out of the bar looked great. Maybe I just don’t get the style or I picked the wrong things off of the menu but overall this is a hard pass on visiting again.

I ordered a kids Non-Alcoholic Shirley Temple, which is like a Cherry Sprite. It was very good. The employee always say it takes 25 minutes when you book a table in the front of the restaurant. The food was mediocre, as the chicken in my 2 chicken tacos was dry. I made a reservation for the next day, and I had to wait 30 minutes after my RESERVATION (6:30 PM) to be seated. Service and employees were otherwise very nice, although it can get loud inside. There is also not much parking, the only parking is across the street. I am not sure if i would recommend this restaurant.

I grew up in a Mexican family, and there is no other food that I love more than authentic mexican food. My wife and I loved the food here! Big portions, as any Hispanic family would do, full of flavor, none left to take home. Definitely my favorite restaurant in South Haven now, and will definitely be coming back. On top of the food being amazing the drinks are better!
The owner was walking around talking to everyone and making everyone feel welcome, it was great to see.

Let me set the scene: I was vacationing in South Haven with a small group of friends. We were looking for a traditional Mexican restaurant to dine at for lunch, and we found Su Casa. We thought “Oh, they have some good reviews! Let’s check it out.” We enter the restaurant, which was clean, welcoming, and vibrant. We were greeted upon arrival by the bartender. Our server came, introduced himself, and quickly took our drinks orders. Once he came back, we had decided on the House made Chips and Salsa to start us off. This is where our experience began to decline. The chips were overcooked, and under salted. The salsa options were served in small sauce cups and not your typical wide-rimmed salsa bowl. Mind you, it cost $7 for runny salsa, bland pico, and a few slices of pickled carrots. We thought to put this unappetizing appetizer behind us and order entrees. I cannot give you the exact dishes everyone in my group ordered, but none of us were pleased with our meals. The meats were dry and bland, the rice was undercooked, and the tortillas were stiff and flaky. To say I was disappointed in this experience would be an understatement. While I can appreciate a great staff with a fun atmosphere, I would not be able to recommend the food at this establishment which is a shame because I feel it held so much potential.

We did take out…and it was terrible. The chips were supposed to have Queso-not included and the chips tasted like cardboard. My steak for my fajitas was way over cooked-no flavor either. ordered corn tortillas for all and we all got flour. Will not order again. Everyone was equally disappointed and cost 72.00 for 3 take out orders of fajitas.

My food arrived on a very hot plate but the food was cold. Asked our waiter to heat it up in the microwave and it came back the same temperature, cold. Waiter communication skills need improvement and did the bare minimum. Restaurant was too warm inside but was very clean and tastefullly decorated.
